Thanks for your review....I was out looking at new flat irons Sunday - thr Chi I have is old and does allow temperature setting. Does this one have a thermostat on it?

I'm sorry to hear that. The key for me in flat ironing is only using very, very small sections of the hair at a time. How are you using it?

It's all in the small sections, I used to take big chunks and wonder why my hair wasn't straight.

I love these irons as well. The one I have is 1 1/4. My stylist was selling them for $150. I did a review on my blog with before and after. My last relaxer was in October 08, and they did a pretty good job, better than I expected.
