Question Thread Titles With Capital Letters Automatically Changing

I don't know what the rule is, but thread titles seem to change from uppercase to lower case randomly. If there is a symbol (parenthesis, asterisks etc.) in front of the word, it will change it to lowercase.

It also changes any word that is all uppercase to lowercase. For instance, NYC will be changed to Nyc.

Can this be changed?

It's a shame that this hasn't been answered yet. This problem's VERY annoying!
