Updated Ultimate Hair Length Goal

My ultimate goal is TBL/Classic. I'm at WL now (stretched) and a few years ago that was my ultimate goal. But now that I'm at WL I still feel like my hair needs to be longer for me to be completely satisfied with how it looks while curly.

Hopefully I will be locg in October. I'd like to be able to curl my locs while sporting some length, so I'm headed for layered bra strap length.

Bumping this thread for 2020/2021. What’s everyone’s current ultimate length / style goal?

Mine is a classic length blow out. I wanna be a unicorn with an uber long flowy blow out that blows in the wind. Pocahontas meets rapunzel and then make her black!!

What you have in your DP is good enough for me if I factor in shrinkage.
Once hair is too long, it becomes a pain to manage.

I have measurements in my signature from (straight/wavy hair) wigs I have that I liked the look of on me.
With shrinkage it will appear shorter.
For both of them the crown is about 12 - 12.5 inches - that's my ultimate.

I'd like my wash and go's to be at my shoulders or a little past it. I think that requires me to be BSL, so that's my ultimate goal. If gets longer than that, great! But I think I'd cut it back down to BSL

Maybe? I want it SL around every part of my head and some parts of my hair grow longer than others so it'll MBL for some parts but WL for others.

It depends. My longest layers are now WL. When I did my last length check with clay still in my hair, those same layers were neck length. If I left them to dry like that, I'd probably be ear length. My twist outs come just past my shoulders if I have a good stretch (like in my avatar) and ear length when I did a bantu knot out a few weeks ago.

Her hair might be the same.


But to answer the question, I'm still aiming for classic length.
