What hair type is my new growth?

Am I 4a or 4b or 3c

I'm not an expert on these things but I would rule out 4b. You might have to grow it out a little bit more or cut off the straight ends when you're ready to see the actual curl diameter.

Hard to say but I don't think it's 4b...
probably 3c to 4a?

How much new growth do you have? And is this pic of your hair just after washing and no manipulation, or did you pull your hair back at all? I never thought about how manipulation can make new growth seem really different until I relaxed, and now I'm experiencing it first hand .
