wig wearin' question

I'm concerned that wearing a wig cap or the men's stretchy cap thing will actually cause my hair to thin from lack of oxygen. What are the wig wearers using under their wigs and has anyone lost hair due to wearing wigs?

I don't wear a wig cap for that very reason. I never have and I've never had my hair come out. I've been wearing wigs for years now. Some people wear a satin cap or scarf underneath but I would think that would make the wig slide off.

Haven't lost any hair yet. So far my hair is getting longer.

I moisturize my hair, braid it in 4 box braids, place a showercap on, then my wig cap and i find that to help my hair stay thick & moisturized while wearing a wig.

I wear a black bonnet. I smooth it out and tuck in the back.

I wear wigs all the time with just the wig cap and I don't think I've lost hair.... Not that I've noticed

I don't wear a cap, i just twist or plait my hair back, no problems so far

When my hair was NL and shorter, I didn't wear a cap and I didn't have any problems.

Interesting theory ... but if you realize, hair is actually dead and doesn't use oxygen? The scalp receives oxygen from blood flow. I don't think oxygen is the problem.

Try a mesh wig cap instead. It's what I wear underneath of mine.
