She doesn't appear severely ill, or destitute. Why did she let her crown & glory get so unkempt?
Bohemian-style? Free-form locs? No clue, but that is plain nasty. I see dandruff.
Such a waste of all that hair....
She actually didn't need to shave it all off, but oh well... Maybe it's good she's starting all over fresh.
She's a pretty woman. Idk what the deal is. Either she's just never learned how to care for her hair, or she didn't care. Also, keep in mind... Some people may not LOOK mentally ill, but they can be. She could have been suffering from depression/bipolar disorder and just came out of a funk or something. We never know....
I don't like the hair cut, but I think she looks a lot better. At first her puff looked like something had died on top of her head....
Eh. It does not seem like she cares about her hair. Just throw it up and forget about it type of person.
Yup. She doesn't want to to spend all that time on her hair. Something similar happened to my sister. Her hair ate up in the middle because she was neglecting it and just smoothing it up into a pony. Some people need to just loc, relax, or keep it short.
But to answer your question, hayallll no I wouldn't unless sick. And even then, I would have to be very sick to not want to do something with my hair. Her being in Vietnam where its all hot and she's sweating heavily everyday and not cleaning her hair properly...yeah, wouldn't be me.
She needs to keep a short cut.
Maybe she couldn't find good products in Vietnam?
Maybe she is mentally ill. I've known people that look nice and seem cool that were mentally ill.
*Edited to be nicer.
She seems to have nice teeth so there is some level of self care there. Not sure why she let her hair get matted like that.
I was disturbed about how gleeful she was about all the dirt in her hair...even if she didn't comb it, there was no reason for her not to wash it. That had to itch and stink....!
Nah that'd never be my aesthetic FOOOH
And I'm a proud type 4 so let's not start with that
She is a definite prototype tho it makes perfect sense for her to be where she is looking like how she's looking
Yeah. She's weird AF. I went through her instagram.
I'd be embarrassed to even show up to get my hair shaved looking like that.
She couldn't have cut her hair at home first???
She's got ppl thinking we don't comb, wash, brush, or do anything to our hair...and she has the nerve to film it....
This reminds me of the woman who had weave in her hair for like 8 months or smthg, and had to go to the salon to get it taken out
I'm over here trying to decode all the shadiness of your post like .
her face is beautiful but eeew to the filthy hair.
she doesn't strike me as weird exactly... just a free spirit type... her energy agrees with me.
i've seen weird on IG before and she isn't it
She's adorable, but nah son...thats gross.
I'm a subbie.
She isn't mentally ill. She is super low maintenance and crunchy. She's a polyamorous, vegan, Wiccan...I don't know how to spell it lol.
She knows herself and is very intentional.
However, I think should have been washing her hair. And I think her laughter was partially embarrassment.
I don't think she is. She is definitely on the different side but she seems very self aware. I get her. I couldn't do it but I definitely get her.
I can get very lazy when it comes to doing my hair, but never to this point. You can't be so #carefreeblackgirl that you stop taking care of yourself; that's something else entirely.
I thought the exact same thing.
What does "crunchy" mean? Serious/honest question - no shade or whatnot. I'm learning alot of new meanings these days.
Her hair wasn't always like this. She's one of the few vlogger I used to watch years ago, like 4 or 5 years ago. She really does live her life. I think it's just one of those things when you are mentally stressed but not physically stressed. She's a teacher, if I remember correctly.
I don't comb my hair so... I guess yes. My hair is different from hers so people can't really tell unless they dig inside of my puff and find my locs.
It's like granola. Whole grain. Earthy...
Their laughs were really agitating to my ears lol... that's all I got. She's a very pretty woman.
I really cannot, WTF! No it is not funny, more like disturbed...
Do you cleanse and moisturize your hair? If so, how frequently? Are the locs locked to the point that you'd have to cut them off?
Don't teachers have a standard dress/grooming code? Can she go to work with her hair looking the way it did, before she started cutting?
I'm tryna not let the devil use me but yea im definitely not surprised she's vegan and Wiccan and polyamorous. Probably non gender-confirming and uses "they" as a pronoun. Lemme stop there now and keep it cute
