Hey ladies, I self-relaxed, self trimmed and coloured my hair at 12 weeks post relaxer. The last time I took pics was in September so it will be interesting to see how things are shaping up. I have stuck to my usual regimen throughout and am glad its still working for me. I am 8 months pregnant (praise Jesus!) at the moment and have relaxed my hair throughout (every 3 months) and havent noticed any ill effects. My hair feels stronger at the moment in that it sheds a lot less but I am awaiting the dreaded shedding process that occurs after you give birth so if you have any tips on how to at least minimise it (if at all possible), please let me know. I have considered starting doing braid outs once a week as DH and I have been discussing how to reduce the time consuming nature of wash days with rollersets and flat irons (whilst having a newborn to care for), however, I have kinda come to the conclusion that wash days are only once every 3 weeks and that I dont have to fuss with my hair at all until the next time. The rollerset/flat iron lasts much longer than a braidout (it starts to look like a rats nest after like 3 days) so I will stick with my current method for now and will adjust if needed.

God bless you all...

Your hair is very beautiful and healthy looking! You and your tummy look so cute! Congratulations on your upcoming bundle of joy! :yep:

Your hair looks beautimous (LOL) as always! It is gleaming with health, too!

Congrats on the bundle of joy! I'm 32 weeks and 3 days pregnant, so we should be having our babies around the same time!

I remember when you got married! Congrats on the pregnancy.

Your hair looks beautiful as always. You are a true testament to consistency.

Keep taking your prenatals even after your bundle is born:grin: might help:yep:

Your hair journey is AMAZING!! Your hair is so inspiring! Congrats on your hair accomplishments and your motherhood journey !

Your hair is looking more beautiful than ever! And congratulations on your new bundle of joy!

Your hair looks great! Congrats on your little one.
Braidouts are low maintenance no heat hairstyle that should work for a new mommy. I have never been able to find the patience or the skill to rollerset. I don't know how you do it. Good Luck with everything :)

You and your little bear are adorable!

I always like browsing thru your fotki. Thank you for letting us know you updated.
