So proud of me! So last week I got bored and decided I wanted to try something new. Im not usually a braids person but I absolutely LOVE these! Its two toned, waist/hiplength.

I got bored of my weaves, lace fronts, and wanted something fresh, so went back to an oldie but a goodie! Went to the shop, got some braids and hooked myself up:gorgeous:

Oh and by the way, Ive heard quite a few people say braids dont look good, or are not professional. I disagree, it depends! I wore these braids for an interview on wednesday - not in a bun, just pulled back with a head band and left free flow and still got a job at one of the biggest hedge funds in the world 2 days later! *stunts*:drunk: so ladies, its all about the styling not the style itself and also how you carry yourself of course lol xx

What do you think ladies?

They look nice and wow how long did those take.
Girl I've never heard this before. I've worn braids on a job interview as well and got the job at Merril Lynch a few years ago.

The resume should speak for itself.

I agree with you! Someone even commented on my video saying she stopped wearing braids because some people mentioned that it looked ghetto. I've also heard a number of people here in London mention similar sentiments. I guess its because you see people walking around with a myriad of colours, green, purple, blue etc :nono:

The braids took me a couple of days, 3 to be precise because I was busy doing other people's hair in between so only did my hair when I could be bothered in the evenings.

YES!!! I love my braids! I stopped wearing braids because I felt they looked "childish" on me. And my scalp is extremely white and I was kinda embarrassed about that. But I couldn't be happier!!

Mind you, mine aren't that long. I don't have added hair. So mine are about APL.

I think the style is hot... It looks MUCH better on you than solange... It just made her look old to me. I think hers were a bit bigger. that may be why. Congrats on the job

Beautiful braids! You did a great job. I love your make-up in the last picture. What lipstick is that?

It is such a sexy look for you. I love it. I could use some make up lessons from you. Your eyes are to die for!

Your braids look great. I love braids. I have been wearing braids for 2 years and get compliments every time I get them done. Even strangers compliment me with the braids.
You look good and rock your braids.

Thank you so much ladies! I do miss having a side swept fringe across my face, its much easier to do 'sexy' with free flowing hair lol but I adore this!

I used expressions hair in colour 1b and 99j, I used two packs, which is surprising because I have a big head haha. I just mixed the two packs as I was braiding along so as not too have too much red!
