I was thinking about this last night...
not that I'm getting married anytime soon...
but I often visualize my wedding day (because I'm such a girl)
before it was always long and straight but now that I'm natural...
my vision isn't clear... so...

I'm wondering...
how will I wear my hair on my wedding day?
Natural or Straight? IDK...

What about you???

Also, if you have seen any natural hair brides... post pics here for inspiration.

I can totally understand, but I AM getting married and I am still debating on what to do with my hair. I am thinking an elegant updo with my twists, or a shake and go pulled into an updo. I will have a tiara, and my shake and go's are pretty curly, so I think that it will look cute either way. What I might do is test drive the shake-n-go updo when I get pictures with the fiance. This way I can have an idea of how it will hold up, ya know. It will be neat to see what all the other brides are doing.

I'd rock these...

I wore my hair in small twists that were set on flexi rods. It worked out well so I didn't have to worry about styling on our honey moon. If you straighten I would suggest a bun so you don't have to worry about it reverting. A rod set on your natural hair would also be pretty. Your hair has nicely defined curls already so you probably could just pull it up in a nice updo. I have also seen ladies wear nice braids for their wedding day.

Ahhh... that is something to consider esp if you go somewhere beachy...
but I don't think I'd care... I'd wear it straight for wedding and then back to natural on honeymoon.

Depends on where the wedding takes place. We want a beach wedding...so JA - humidity, etc most likely in it's natural curly state. If I have it in NY most likely good ole fashion straightening.

I voted I don't know yet.

I would LOVE to wear it natural though!!

I think a cute style would be to wear it the way you have it your siggy SouthernTease. With a crown/tiara in the front or something like that. That is a workable option.

I dream of wearing my natural hair in waist-length (becasue my real hair is that long) micro braids which are loosely curled in rignlets.

I want a style that will look great thruout my entire honeymoon....but I plan to do lots of.......... sweating!

im a girly girl and ive already visioned wearing my hair which will b long by then in a long flexi set so id have thick beautiful curls!! ahhh i can c it now lol :lick:

I'm actually thinking abou this a lot lately! I'm a bridesmaid in a wedding next spring!

My hair is natural so I guess I will press it but curls, etc fall outta my hair quickly, esp if it is humid out.

I have no idea what I'm going to do!

I have no clue what I'll do with my hair for my wedding day.

I straightened it for the last wedding I was in, this past March. It help up pretty well...even through all the dancing/sweating during the reception.

I think about this a lot, also.

I don't want to straighten it. My head sweats easily, and I'm not trying to worry about reversion.

By the time I get married, my hair would be longer. So, I wouldn't mind wearing a bun, rollerset, or an ultra-defined braid-out to decrease bulk/volume and show length.

depends on weather and location:grin: I think I want to wear it straight...only because I wear it curly like this allllll the time. Would be good to switch it up for the wedding.

well it has always been my dream to have my own hair done on my wedding day. i am not getting married anytime soon but I always invisioned having my own hair nice, pretty and long!!!!! Ima do whatever I have to do to accomplish my goal!!!!

When I got married, I had dreads pulled up in a bun and a tiara - I could have easily done two strand twists and done the same style, easily.

I just LOVE the photos that were posted! Ya'll have given me great ideas! I have some time! I mean our date was April 11,09, but we'll see, b/c that might get moved...........Anyhow, now that I think on it, I will most likely wear my hair in some natural style, our honeymoon is in the carribean and it will revert so why waste the time and money on a straightening.Plus I haven't worn my hair straight in like 4 or 5 yrs, I wouldn't know what to do with all this hair straightened! I am really feelin micro twists set on flexi rods, or a classic bun or something. I know no matter what it will be beautiful!

My hair will be straightened and fully equipped with some Sabino Moisture Block on my wedding day (I do plan on getting my dance on, after all ). I have been natural for a while now, and have never worn it straight, so I want something different for the big day. Plus, my hair will be all settled into my goal length by that time (WL), so it will be nice to really show my length for once.

As for the honeymoon, I'll be back to rockin' the natural tresses. :yep:

Yep!
That was me!!!!!!

The coils, the waist length - AND the SWEATING!!!!!

WOOHOO!!:lachen:

I'm thinking of a flexirod set, that is if my hair is bsl or longer by time I get married.

ETA: Or I would do a rollerset with the roots flatironed. That held up pretty well for me awhile back.

I did flat twists in the front and long twists in the back. Pinned my tiara in the middle.

Just celebrated my first year anniversary. :yep:

When I got married I was still natural and I wore my hair in braids.. Mainly because we were going to beach for our honeymoon. otherwise I would have worn twists.

Whatever stlye you do... I'm sure you will rock it out..... YOUR hair is FAB!!!!!!!

I had my flat ironed hair pulled back into a bun with a braid all around it. I had a swoop bang in the front. I did'nt have any reversion problems.

Honeymoon, I was back to natural.

the second pic is how I want to wear mine, but since my hair doesn't naturally do that, I voted straight.

I want my hair the same way. If i have to straighten and then curl it that way...then that's what ill do. If i decide to do an updo then maybe ill have a flexi rod set with 3b-ish size curls pinned up all over.

I'm leaning towards wearing it down though and since i'm having a winter wedding, hopefully it'll hold up.

Southerntease i don't blame you for thinkin ahead!! My SO and I would like to get married 2-3 yrs from now and ALREADY i'm looking at pics and styles. It WILL take me that long to figure this one out for sure.
