I ordered OCT.. FedEx lost it and I won't get a refund!

Yep report this your credit card company for a refund. Also did the website offer insurance since they were using fedex?

I think they don't offer insurance, the girl from OTC said that "I unclicked the singnature confirmation" thing :rolleyes: and that's why they are not responsable. I tried to get a copy of the order but the funny thing is that they never sent me an invoice, just an email thanking me for the order.

FedEx said they left it at my front door last Saturday night, which I don't think is true because I was home all day and night. Well, OTC said that since I did not paid for a signature confirmation (which I don't even recall, specially since it was just 2 bucks and my order was over $100).


So, ladies be careful with your orders specially when you spend some hard earned change.

The lady from OCT offered to file a claim and told me that is all she could do for me. OCT will not pay or replace the lost merchandise and FedEx stick to their driver's story.


Sorry to hear this. It sounds like the package was stolen. As far as I'm concerned this should be treated as stolen property. You should get in touch with the police and fill out a report. Send a copy to FedEx and Ovation. Keep putting pressure on FedEx and Ovation. Sounds like someone's been wanting some Ovation and decided that they would take yours. Or it is misplaced by FedEx. Why would FedEx leave it at your front door? Aren't they suppose to leave you a note saying they missed you and will be back another day?

OCT is too expensive for this crap! :nono:

The invoice may be in the box with Ovation.

I don't know about their explanation. Do you remember unclicking something like that?

Hey Girl! Don't do business with Fed Ex! Three years ago, they "mis-delivered" $2500 in gold that was certified and insured and instead delivered it to the wrong address! It wasn't about the money, the necklaces were of sentimental value from my mother. I ripped Fed Ex a new one that day and successfully got that driver suspended! Turns out that driver was part of a ring of people who would leave stuff at the wrong place and signal their crew/friends to walk up and just take it!! Stay away from them if you can. UPS is steadily beginning to look a lot better and more reliable to me.

So true. They're constantly dropping off packages at my doorstep and it's the wrong address.

I guess they need to know that you're serious about your claim and getting your money back.

More than that I believe, they wanted to be sure I wasn't someone trying to beat them to get free product; a thief. There is a lot of fraud out here.
 
Where I used to live they never left packages only notices, theft was too easy , too much traffic in front of everyone's door. they only left notices if you werent there. But where I live now, they alll leave them on my patio without even knocking to let me know, fedex, us mail, ups , alll of them. But my patio is private and I guess thats why

You can get your refund , you just have to fight some. I would also file a claim with the credit card company that it was goods that were stolen , they will take care of it that way if the company wont refund you

Do a fake order and see if that option comes up again? And if the price changes? that sounds super fishy.

My Mega Tek is scheduled for delivery tomorrow by FedEx. :nono: It's been raining here for over 24 hours...I'm just hoping if they do deliver it (fingers crossed) & I'm not in - and they will just leave it - I hope it won't be dropped in a water puddle.

Good luck la flaca - I don't care for FedEx either - if you need another sig. count me in!

What I meant was that the signature confirmation was like an insurance. Since I didn't ask for it (which I don't recall getting or refusing at all) they are not responsible for the product after it was shipped.
 
I would ask her to file the claim. Tell her to give you teh claim # and keep bugging Fed Ex. I mean call daily and get an update.

This happened to me when I ordered my Corioliss. It took a couple days and a new driver brought the package. The drivers sometiems note things incorrectly on the forms or drop things off at the wrong location.

I agree. I ordered something from Chagrin Valley, and it was lost. When I called Fed Ex or UPS (whichever one it was) they told me that the delivery person stated that it was delivered and at what time, but I knew that wasn't true because I was home. After checking up on it a few times, the next thing I knew a few days later, it was at my door!
 
Wow that happened to me but the persons I ordered from replaced the stuff and went after Fed Ex. Fed Ex did send someone out as if they were going to investigate. Fool you shouldn't have left it at the door for anyone to see! I never had anything taken before so I couldn't really say.

I just talked to FedEx and they gave me a confirmation number for OCT so they could file a claim.
Yes file the claim. In November I ordered boots and FedEx swore me up and down they delivered the boots. Once I filed the claim the boots appeared on my doorstep…go figure.

OCT labeled the address but not the unit. FedEx considered it delivered and just left it on another apartment's doorstep. The next day, someone was nice enough to go knocking on our doors to find out who LaurynDoll was.

I have been concerned about possibly ordering the product again... especially after seeing how inconsiderate they are to others.

Honey, I fill so bad for you from the bottom of my heart. I'm about to cry myself just knowing that happened to you. I would definitely check with FedEx policy on leaving products at the door. Fedex has always left a sticker on my door or in my mailbox if I wasn't home.

You darn right I did because I never realized it would pose such a HUGE problem. That set is expensive. UPS does NOT act like this, so what type of contract do they have with FedEx?

I don't think $2.00 should cause the commotion it did.

If it helps, AFTER the fact, checked my voicemail to see FedEX did attempt to call me, BUT Ovation's people NEGLECTED to put the apartment on the box as they should have.
 
honestly after you posted the thread i went back to check and saw the box but foreal i dont remember if i used it before or not because that was a couple of months ago.

For the last 4 months i have been having so much trouble with shipping that now i ALWAYS use insurance/signature. i hate having to spend that extra money but i've been "got" a couple of times off ebay so i feel its necessary.

as far as ovation, i honestly dont remember if that box was even there before.
 
As much business as Ovation has received from this site, they should be MORE than willing to help you!

I would escalate my complaint above the head of the customer service rep.
 
This is exactly the reason UPS, FED EX, and the USPS SHOULD NOT leave anything on door steps or in the mailbox. I think the carrier is responsible for the stolen goods. You should not have to pay an additional $2 for them to put it in your hands. Thier business is to DELIVER. Keep calling UPS. Losing $100 dollars in this economy will cause someone to get:catfight:.
