Lately I've been wearing wigs and trying to avoid using heat so that's what encouraged me to try this. This style has been posted on here before, I can't remember when I saw it or who posted it, but I do recall seeing it. I was on youtube yesterday and ran across the it and decided to try it and wanted to share my version of it with you all. The pic is in my siggy. My hair was really poofy, and so were my edges. This is totally left field from styles that I normally wear, but it was fun going out with a different hairstyle! Here is the link to the youtube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59T-0Tgt36E

Cute. I did it too. I like yours better. I didn't stretch my hair out at all.

Wow, beautiful, beautiful hairstyle and you look absolutely amazing. So did anyone say anything when you went out with your new look?

I will have to remember this style when my hair gets longer and maybe thicker.

Thanks for sharing, you did a really good job.

Thank you! I got a lot of compliments on it. Most people couldn't believe all of it was my hair and that I did it myself. When I went to the bss, they could not believe it was my hair. They were asking me what did I use on my hair to make it grow!!! They said that they never saw a black girl with hair like that :drunk:. Crazy right!!!

Thanks!!! I don't know what you're talking about though...I think you would pull it off great :yep:.

Oh, wow, that's gorgeous! That would look sad on my hair right now, but this is definitely a style I will have to remember! Do you mind if I save a copy of your picture (credited to you and with your directions) in my flickr?

Thank you, and go right ahead :yep:. But I can't take the credit... crownofHisglory created this style and she named it the "Blackhawk" because her last name is Black!!! So it's truly her style :yep:.

Your hair is beautiful!!! Not poofy at all!! I wish I could hurry up and learn more than a roller set.

As an aside, I tried a new style, and my head ended up looking like one of those short, lopsided trees from "The Karate Kid." :antlers: It was crazy.

Pray for me...

Love it!That is just beautiful. And you are wearing that style:yep:
It seems so multi purpose and quick:yep:

I will def try this when my hair gets longer.I think for my relaxed hair,it would have to be air-dried or blow dried and not straightened for it to look good.
