CHERRYLOLA TREATMENT & KCCC with PICS

After wearing my bun all week long, I was ready to play in my hair last night!

1) I started with a hot oil treatment on my dry hair using coconut oil and Afroveda shea amla whipped butter cream. I set under the dryer with that for about an hour then I co-washed with Yes to Carrots conditioner, rinsed and twisted my hair for bed.

2)This morning my hair was dry so I applied the Cherrylola Treatment. It consists of mixing plain yogurt, Braggs Liquid Aminos, and baking soda and applying that to the dry hair for about an hour under a plastic cap. It's supposed to reduce frizz. I think it worked.

3)After I rinsed the CherryLola treatment I applied Knot to Day and KCCC. I added a little coconut oil to my KCCC so my hair wouldn't come out crunchy. I blowed dried on low in order to dry quickly. I'm pretty happy with my results today! I hope to wear this style for the rest of the holiday weekend until I re-bun Tuesday morning for the work week.

It came out beautiful. I may try this one day.

Okay, is CherryLola a member here or is that really the name of the treatment?

Thanks, Poca!
I think adding the bit of coconut oil to the KCCC added to the shine. Let me know your results if you try the CherryLola treatment.

I will but I will have to hunt for that Bragg's stuff because I've never seen it. At first I thought it was vinegar.

You can get it at Whole Foods in the aisle where they sell the soy sauce. It's a healthy seasoning similar to soy sauce. It costs about 3 bucks.

Looks great!!

I am fairly new to the whole natural side, and have a question about your process.: Did you untwist your hair before applying the cherrylola treatment?

THANKS. YES. I actually untwisted one at at time, applied the treatment, re-twisted that twist, and went to the next section. You don't have to do it this way. You can just apply to gobs of hair. However, I do better keeping all hair sectioned off and re-twisting after I apply treatment or product just to keep my hair organized and under control. If I don't do it this way, I tend to get frustrated with my hair rushing through the process and not getting a good result.

I actually rinsed the treatment out and applied extra conditioner and rinsed that out with the twists in. That keeps my hair from getting re-tangled.
