Now that I've reached a comfortable 5 years into my hair journey, my #1 hair issue is styling.

I feel like I've pretty much mastered what to do to keep my hair healthy, styling it in a way that it stays healthy and that looks nice to me (sans extensions) is my last challenge.

Now that I've reached "_almost 1 year post in my transition_" length (or stage in my journey), my #1 hair issue (or issues) are _keeping my relaxed ends from breaking and finding transition styles that blend the two textures well. Also: resisting the urge to chop before 18 months post.

Now that my hair is past my shoulders my number one issue is tangly hair when dry.

While wet my hair detangles like a dream, when it is dry no matter what moisturisers I use I cannot detangle it. This isn't an issue most of the time only when I try to do the comb chase method while staightening, I lose alot of hair due to excessive tangling which is why I am now looking into purchasing a hot comb [/end rant]

PLEASE FILL IN THE BLANKS

Now that I've reached "______" length (or stage in my journey), my #1 hair issue (or issues) are _______?:feedback: :feedback: :bangdesk: :drowning: :drowning: :drowning: :drowning: :charge: :charge:

First blank is "BSL"---second blank is "boredom".

ETA: So now I'm getting into hair color. In the fall, I'm either cutting or getting it layered or something.

do you clarify often??? i heard of this youtuber once named kimmaytube :lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen: (couldn't resist)...she spoke of a life changing moment in her hair journey when learning why moisture was not reaching her hair strands. One of her solutions was to increase her frequency in washing....rinsing , and (occasional cowashing) her hair to incorporate the use of water (her main moisturizer) more often....I noticed nearly each wash day she usually clarifies

Actually....frequently never. I've been using Trader Joes Nourishspa shampoo. I'll look into clarifying...hopefully that will work :ohwell:. Imma look for that video.

Now that I am almost BSL, my #1 problem is breakage at my crown. I could get over all the shedding if I could stop this darn breakage.

Now that I've reached "that large world between SL & APL " length (or stage in my journey), my #1 hair issue (or issues) are my multitude of textures that don't quite blend as of yet. I have to wait a lil' while for some more length so that it will weigh down...
Otherwise, I can't complain!

Now that I've reached "grazing BSL" , my #1 hair issues are "breakage from stretching (mostly at the crown) , single strand knots/tangles, and finding my staple products. "

Now that I'm APL, I'm really concerned about how dry my crown is. It's just so ready to break off at any moment!!

Now that I'm "STILL seemingly no where near APl, AGAIN" my issue is trashy, splitting ends, and getting single strand knots ALL THE DANG TIME, and a head that is SO big that it makes most protective styles difficult.

Now that I have been I guess nl or grazing sl since last year dryness is and has always been my issue along with itchness. I don't care what I do to this natural ham it won't stay moisturized..

My major issue at this time is:

Uneven length.

My hair is retaining a good half inch per month.

but the nape is right above APL. The sides are 2 inches above APL. The hair from my crown only falls to my chin. 50 million layers.

I have to be patient while this grows out and evens up

Now that I've reached "below APL", my #1 hair issue is the hair right below my crown area . This area breaks really easy which causes my already fine, thin hair to appear even thinner and makes that infamous "W" in the back!!!

That's is exactly my #1 problem. I've decided to stop texlaxing that part of my hair for a while.

my number one hair issue was tangles lately.... but after all the millions (j/k) i've spent on detanglers, simple leaving hair in twists NOT LOOSE is resolving that issue for sure

itchy scalp is calming down with regular... good ol' HAIR GREASE! <-- who woulda thunk it

Now that I've reached "__no longer a twa____" length (or stage in my journey), my #1 hair issue (or issues) are __styling_____?

too short for a bun or ponytail, so all i can do is WnG's & Puffs... my hair doesnt stay twisted, so twists/twistouts dont really work

Now that I've reach "almost WL" my #1 hair issue is DETANGLING.

It took me over an hour to detangle and I was so furious I wanted to chop my hair off right there and then. On top of that, I heard more snapping then anyone would believe. I'm SCARED of how many inches i may have to lose when i get a trim next month.

I just don't get it. The wide tooth comb misses most of the knots, but anything smaller, or even a denmen doesn't make it through at all!!
