Here's her hair regimen:

***Every day or every other day I "wash" my hair with conditioner.

***Weekly I clarify with a acv rinse.

***Monthly I deep condition with olive oil or with some natural deep conditoner.

Maybe I need to stick with co-washing daily instead of protective styles. I know mermaid and BlackCardinal have had great length retainage results from daily washing.
Aww, Pooh! You remembered!!

Thanks for providing the name. MC was killing me. I was like who is MC. Midnight Curls has beautiful hair. I love how thick it is in addition to the lenght.

Pooh- I believe frequent washing has helped me to grow and retain my length.

@ mermaid - yep, I remembered. :D

@ naturaline - yep, that's true! I have found that washing daily and protective styling both work for me! I just wish I can just be consistent with just one of these methods. And washing frequently in the winter really isn't all that bad. ;)

@ Country_gal - thanks for letting me know about washing frequently allowing your hair to retain length... if only I could decided between daily washing and two-strand twisting. :)

her hair is beautiful...mind you she only trimmed once that entire time she grew her hair and that was after she reached her goal. up until that point, she did s&d.

Good point, sometimes you have to give up on even hair and just get the splits and call it a day. :)

I've been wondering the same thing, I honestly prefer washing my hair frequently, it feels better to me, plus protective styles don't really last on my hair. I just always thought they were better for my hair... may have to rethink this...

MC's hair is soooo gorgeous!!!

Question-So for those naturals that do wash frequently, what styles are you wearing your hair in?? It takes me forever to get my hair in a nice/neat bun after washing it...which is why I only wash once a week...twice sometimes.

I am very lightly texturized and I co-wash my hair everyday or every other day. I use my leave in, and put my hair up while it is wet. I don't use a brush, just a comb. While it is soaking wet and has leave in conditioner on it, the hair will be much easier to lay down without having to pull it tight.

Doing it wet means in the winter I have to wash it at night instead of in the morning. It takes a while to dry though if you do it this way.
