My hair is so dense, I honestly feel like I have hair for two maybe three people!

It takes sooo long to do anything with, especially drying. My hair can be wet for days and days.

Even when my hair is straight I get told "your hair is so big"

How do you deal with your dense hair?
Do you love it or hate it?

Lol yeah I don't have dense hair by no means but my 3 girls do...However it doesn't take their hair long to dry. Possibly a full day if hair drying so that may be due to your porosity, no? Anyway I just deal with it bc the way I look at it with their hair is I'm glad they have hair and not walking around with twig pony tails that I see a lot of here. I'm just glad they were blessed with their full head plus I do styles that will last a week or longer. What type of styles do you do to where it takes forever and a day to dry? Do you have a dryer you can sit under? Do you do styles that could last you so you aren't having to mess with all that thick beautiful hair?

If my hair isn't out completely it will take a good few day to dry.

Blow drying my hair can take around 2 hours!

I do have a dryer at home but at university I don't use it. The problem I find is because my hair won't dry I HAVE to use a blow dryer.

When I have to let it air dry it's a pain because it takes forever and a day, but flat ironed it's awesome because I have so much volume. And if your hair is "big" when flat ironed not full big it could be your flat ironing technique. My hair is only big after I blow dry it. So if I had to choose give me my volume any day.

Hi Channy31

My daughter has a lot of volume. She is like a beautiful lion :)

She is 15 and pretty lazy about combing through it and keeping it detangled.

She hates it and wants to cut her hair shorter.

She cowashes, puts it in a few twists and air dries overnight.

It is still damp when she wakes up and untwists.

When I put my hair in 4 ponytails each one is the average size of most people's who head. Lol. Whenever I used to go to the salon if it was someone new doing my hair id hear how thick it is or they've never seen so much hair. I used to hate it and once used thinning shear. But now it's whatever and I know I'm blessed cause 1 I'll never go bald. Even if I lost a patch of hair no one would ever notice.and 2 people would kill to have such thick hair. It can be annoying... Takes forever to do and dry but oh well I just deal. One thing though is if I'm getting breakage in a certain spot I dont notice it as fast so that sucks. Oh but I have thin strands... What's that about!?!

Another thing I'm trying to transition and I'm super scared it'll be too much!!

freckledface You are going to need a really good conditioner with a lot of slip as you transition.

We have 3 natural heads in my house and the amt of conditioner we consume is amazing.

Right now we use the tresemme for curly hair - it is inexpensive and does a good job.

I also recently tried Aussie moist and it does a good job as well.

Good Luck with your journey.

biancaelyse thank you. I'll try the tresemme. I've yet to jump on that although I hear nothing but good things. I'm only 18 weeks but already using way more than I'm used too!

I have crazy dense hair
I never hear the end of it at the salon , they always comment on my hairs thickness
One fourth of my hair is some peoples entire head for sure
It's a blessing and a curse I suppose

I'm finding this to be a big problem of mine in general :ohwell: Whenever I want someone else to do something for me it's such a dang hassle. Getting my eyebrows waxed professionally? Issue. Cleaning up my bikini area? Even bigger issue. Lets not even discuss stylists. I'm really so over it, nothing gets done right unless I do it myself.

(Sorry, rant over.)
