Headband curls- heatless hair style

I just stumbled upon this video of another way to curl your hair overnight without using rollers or pins but simply a headband. The girl is really young in this video but I chose her because her hair looks relaxed and I wanted to see the results on a black person with relaxed hair. I am going to try this one day this week. Are there any ladies who use this styling method. I usually just sleep with 3 flexirods in my hair to get curls the next day but this method seems interesting and perhaps easy to sleep on at night.

I wanted to try this style when I was relaxed, but never got around too it. I doubt it'll work on my short, type 4 hair now.

From what I hear, it's just a super mild texturizer.

I've done it a few times. A few times it came out great, but most times one side is great and the other not so much. One thing for me, I'm relaxed and it looks awful on my flat-ironed hair but looks best on my air dried hair.

Thank you for this! My blow dried hair hates twist/braid outs so this is a good alternative..

Yeah, I was thinking it would look best on my air dried hair.

Notice I said it would "look" good on my hair. I didn't say I'd actually do it.

Finally trying this for the first time tonight- it took around 10 minutes-15 tops! Can't wait to see the results in the morning

So happy with how my hair turned out using this method!!

Used a little Cantu and lots of coconut oil!! I'm on cloud 9











Was so comfortable to sleep in and it didn't come loose during the night. I put another scarf over. My SO was curious to see the results and he's impressed, which is rare for him lol

Hope the curls hold at work today

Still looking good at the end of a long day




My hair had been flat ironed last week so my next trial will be to do this technique again in the near future but with airdried hair and see if it looks as nice.

This is interesting. My hair is flat ironed right now, I may try this out before I wash it out.
