Cetrimonium Chloride. This gives my conditioners so much slip and makes detangling a breeze! I don't know why I didn't try it sooner. I will never not use this ingredient.

Alikay Naturals Aloe Berry Styling Gel. It provides a super (super) light hold so just a water rinse gets it out. And I typically don't go for fruity or candy smelling products, but this smells like watermelon Jolly Ranchers and I love it.

Headwraps/turbans. I love me a funky-patterned head wrap! Really, decorative hair accessories of any kind.
I throw my hair up, slap some bobby pins in & go. The best part is, I can mold my hair to hide anything I want.
My edges are trying to make a comeback from my devastating postpartum shedding. Then I had a few pieces that I cut because they were heat damaged & i've stopped using heat. Today they were acting a little funky. So, I slapped my headband on, piled my hair on top of my head in a loose pony. Divided that in half & used part to create a swoopy/funky bang & the other part became a loose/messy bun.
I even pinned a flower to cover up the elastic band. Super cute!

"Iron damage can be reduced by using conditioners formulated with low molecular weight conditioners that can penetrate into the hair like cetrimonium chloride. Another study (see Reference 2) showed that exposing hair to heat in the presence of such a conditioning agent actually caused an increase in tensile strength (the force required to break a hair). This is because the heat reacts with the conditioning agents and cross links some of the protein chains inside the hair. I make my own conditioners and add this to the water phase at 2%.

Design Essentials curl stretching cream and the gel for my wash n gos! Really love this paired over AVJ, APB leave in spray and lotion and the cream. It doesn't leave my hair hard or anything.
