Hair Tool Graveyard

Prepping for a move and pulled out my hair bin to pack. I was shocked at the number of tools I've used and discarded on my hair journey.

I've got flexirods, perm rods, Curlformers, crimpers, magnetic rollers and more that mostly have not been touched in years. These days I bun with an banana clip or braid and curl with 15 tiny blue perm rods.

What's in your hair tool graveyard?

When I pulled the bin out of the shed I had various size perm rods, magnetic rollers, hair accessories, a blow dryer, a flat iron and 7 curling irons :look:

I wore a twa for 4 years and had completely forgotten about that stuff. I kept the rollers and got rid of the rest.

Same as yours. Perm rods, sponge rollers, magnetic rollers, hot rollers, hot roller clips, flat iron... Ugh @ new task for tomorrow - organizing and re-homing these items!

Oops, faithVA - I didn't mention the heat tools - Maxiglide, curling irons, flat iron, 3 different bonnet dryers, a blow dryer and an electric pressing comb (what the heck was I thinking?) LOL!

If you aren't going to use them you may be able to sell some of them on the exchange board.

faithVA - I hadn't thought about selling/exchanging them because I look at them and think, what if one day I need to use (insert product name here) for some hairstyle even though my hair is too long to use some of them. It would take me two days to dry my hair if I set it on white perm rods!

I don't buy 'many' tools. So lemme see.......

I have a Flat Iron Comb Chaser thingy, some Sprush's (different sizes), and one of those K-Roller things that is suppose to distribute your DC'er evenly.

My Mastex Heat Cap. A Tangle Teezer.

A couple Curling Irons. Various size Barrels.

They're currently in the Graveyard, but that doesn't mean they might be pulled out for active duty one day.

Been using other things, so I don't need them right now. That is the only reason they are there.

The Flat Iron Comb chaser and that K-Roller thingy will probably never be used.

The Sprush's, Curling Iron(s) and the Mastex are a definite Use again.

My hair tool collection is only so big, so nothing is officially in the grave yard yet. I have a dryer with a comb attachment and diffuser, curl formers, satin rollers, a flat iron and bonnet dryer.

Yeah but I was thinking that you would probably never need 3 bonnet dryers

I have some rollers that I have grown out of (size wise)...maybe 3 bags. Probably gonna pass them along to a friend who is just getting into roller setting.

I have a Babyliss flat iron that I used once since I purchased it. Being that I don't flat iron my own hair or don't want to risk the health of my hair experimenting, this has surely gone to the tool graveyard. Matter of fact, I don't even know where it is. My daughter took it with her when she went to New York a few months ago with her drama class and I haven't seen it since. I haven't even cared enough to ask cause I know I'm not gonna use it.

That's about it..all other tools I have are in heavy rotation. I have a LCL bonnet dryer, Secura steamer, flexi rods, large magnetic rollers and a small tooth comb that I use all the time. I do have a Caruso steam roller set that I plan to pull out later in the year when it's salon-hair-pressing-season. lol
