Is anyone watching this digital reality show? I think this has potential. I'm a HUGE fan of MsVaughn and her sister. I've watched both episodes and so far I really like the show. Surprisingly the one youtuber that I thought would be interesting seems boring and forced; chime aka hair crush.

I thought this was a joke until I saw the videos in your post. I'm all for championing their successes, but a reality show? Really?
I just can't imagine spending my time watching this.

Okay, I forced myself to watch the intro video and rolled my eyes so hard when they got to the part of BBBD and relationships (and that extra dramatic music). My eyes still haven't turned back to the front of my sockets.

I have a personal rule: every time I say something "negative" I have to say something nice just to balance things out, so here goes: I really like BBBD's hair and natural looking makeup.

I've watched to support a black initiative but eh...I find the show too scattered. Why not find vloggers that either already live in the same city or are willing to move for a the duration of the show? I was expecting to see the vloggers interacting with each other, not with their friends and fam that no one cares about, lol. I wouldn't call this a "reality show."

Wow. The show was filmed ages ago, but some parts of it were cool. I liked seeing Vaughn and her photoshoot. She came across a bit more b*tchy than I expected tho.
I plan to watch for Vaughn... but now I'm def going to watch.. the bolded somehow doesn't surprise me really LOL. I've always gotten a bit of a vibe of her feeling herself a bit and is a show off through her photos and some of her vids. I'd always taken a liking to Meechy. Vaughn does seem fun tho. I'll check out the show. I like Chime's hair but don't really care to see much of her personality or whatever, same with Brownbabydoll.

A lot of natural hair bloggers already have lifestyle blogs (like Naptural85, Gabe and Babe, etc). I don't see how this would be any different. I'm not interested based off these two episodes

Yup, that's the only real reason I'm watching is for Vaughn. She seems interesting and fun. I look forward to seeing her interaction with her fiancé; b/c apparently there's alittle drama with their interaction.

I thought that was odd too!!! I really thought that they would be interacting with each other. I would have liked to see Vaughn and BBB interact

Love seeing black women supporting each other. Oops this is LHCF, my fault. Moving on.

Food for thought: you can click on it to give it views while you do other things. This will allow you to give them the support they need without really supporting them. Guess what? White people do it all the time .

I'll tune in! Vaughn does seem fun and seems like she has a very outgoing personality. She looks like she'll get her fiancé/DH together. I remember watching a video of her and meechy with bloopers and the hood came out her reallll quick :lachen:

I guess I don't really see the point. Doesn't Chime already have a lifestyle channel? I guess I just don't understand youtube anymore. And I can say that without being accused of "not supporting black women". I'd feel the same no matter what race they were.

Why can't we critique other BW without being seen as tearing down BW? I'm sorry but the concept of the show is kind of cool, but the execution and choices of Vloggers is a no go for me. I'm all here for helping my fellow BW, but it doesn't mean I should lie and act like everything a BW does is great or my cup of tea

This is how a feel. A different selection of vloggers and having them interact with one another and I'm all for it. They bore me. I'm all for supporting Black women but if it's not my cup of tea then I'm not watching it. I don't watch any reality shows. Not a single one because they don't interest me. I watch youtubers personal vlogs if their personality appeals to me. I got bored with Vaughn, Chime is dry and BBBD never appealed to me. I don't have to waste my unlimited internet letting videos play in the background just because they're black.

I see both sides of the coin. I say at least give it a chance before dismissing it. I think as AA we NEED to be supportive of each other, not only b/c of the commonality but also to diversify TV, movies etc... For the most part, the show, portrays AA's in a positive light, doing things and about business instead of the Love and Hiphop mess. However, with that said not supporting doesn't mean that your a sad individual but people should support BECAUSE of the commonality. Look at the Jews. They are tight and supportive of each other (for the most part).

How many of us are willing to give our coins at trying out new products and clothing etc... but are quick not to support a minority company. What's the harm of watching something semi decent, to extend support?

I'm happy it's a positive show but I have no interest in these women or their lives. Why should I watch? If someone says they don't like Tyler Perry's movies or tv shows I'm not going to say oh you should watch because he's Black. Or just turn the tv on and leave the room or buy a ticket and not go into the theater. I can't tell you how to spend your time or money. I had no desire to see Spike Lee's Chiraq so I didn't. I can decline seeing a movie because it doesn't interest me so why can't I decline a YouTube show for the same reason?

I don't like or watch reality shows but gave it a try because it's only ten minutes.
It turned out to be 5 minutes of content (that didn't interest me) and 5 minutes of advertisements.
I felt like the show thought it was more than it was, if that makes sense. It was almost pretentious of them to put 5 minutes of ads (It was literally like an ad every other minute) into their pilot with only 5 minutes of content. There wasn't really any story either, just minor introductions into minor aspects of their lives. These really could have been vlogs.
Episode two has about half as many views as the first one, which I think says a lot.

Yea, I noticed that too; that the other episodes only had a few views. Those advertisements are a pain

OMG, I was just about to write that I wouldn't watch almost anything that Tyler Perry has made, lol; primarily b/c I don't like the portrayal of the characters.

I may not have a personal interest but I will support something that is positive; especially something that is AA produced and features. Unfortunately, minorities cannot afford to cherry pick due to the lack of availability of quality shows/movies. So when something that is semi-decent comes around; it's important to support. I didn't necessarily have a personal interest in the show Scandal, but I have and will watch a couple of episodes; and the funny thing the show kind of grew on me, lol. Just like the show "fresh off the boat". It's important to support shows like that so that there can be a future in diversifying networks and the movie industry. You can def decline anything for whatever reason, but I think the main thing is showing support in AA projects especially those that portray AA in positive light.

I do wish they would have given more thought on who was selected. The fact that the vloggers aren't even interacting with each other is VERY odd.

I get what you're saying and I respect it but when it comes to my time and what I do with it I'm cherry picking. Positive or not, if it's not my cup of tea I won't fake support. What's the point? I could be using that time to watch videos from bloggers I enjoy watching.

They could've paired BBBD with Natural Sistahs and Alicia James.

They're all in Houston and have a large amount of followers.

Yassss!!! Natural Sistahs would have been good. They actually could do a show with just them. I wonder if they were offered to do the show, but turned it down. I was also wondering if Taren Guy was offered.
