Please share what you would like for your 2010 Hair Resolutions to be.

You can choose more than one; and it can pertain to anything regarding your hair.

My Hair Resolution is to gain 6-7 inches this year and retain them. I will do this by deep conditioning every 2-3 days a week. I will minimize my hair manipulation to regain my growth. DRINK WATER\TAKE VITAMINS AND GET MORE HEALTHY TO add to my goal.

To learn how to keep my hands out of my hair......SMH.
To learn how to find the right method to detangle my hair
To find products that will give my hair more 'slip' and moisture.

To retain more length this year. My hair grows in stages...thickening and then length...so I need patience to understand that it may take me longer to reach my length goals. Use 1 product line predominantly. I am using Keracare until April, if it is still doing a great job on my hair, I will continue to use it until the end of the year. Minimize trimming, by keeping my ends in optimum condition. I plan to do that by moisturizing/sealing 2x/day, rollersetting for the majority of time, protective styling. Length goal: Full APL and working on BSL.

1. Grow and retain 6 inches (I see you BSL!)
2. To DC once a week
3. No direct heat except for lenght checks
4. Wear roller sets, flexi rods, and twist outs
5. Stick with what works
6. Let no one, but myself, come near my hair with scissors!

Number one goal is to find PS other than twists to relieve pressure on my wrists, as I've developed a severe case of tendinitis and can't twist as much anymore.

After that, retain as much length as possible, get used to dusting and trimming my own hair, and hopefully hit BSL straightened by the end of the year.

To be consistent with my current regimen! For the first time in my hair journey Ive had some real progress:drunk: Who knew it took putting my hair away.:wallbash: It was definitely the hardest thing to do.... My goal is to stay focused for 2010 keep my hair braided, moisturized, sealed, and out the way. I plan to at least be lower waistlength, hip or tailbone this time next year.

My main goal for the year is to relax no more than three times. I guess that counts as a resolution to.... lol. I also want to limit the amount of heat that I put on my hair AND trim no more than twice (but still keep healthy ends).

1. not buy any more products until my current stash is used up (should be good for the year)
2. no direct heat, except for my length & ends check (with dusting as needed), which will be the 1st week of January 2010 and 1st week of July 2010
3. keep my routine as simple as possible - cw, dc, ps, daily moisture (esp. ends), clarifying poo (as needed)
4. BSL or bust!!

Transition Over
My hair resolutions are to:

1. Bun for a year.
This will probably be hard, especially if I make the length goals that I've set out myself (you know how when your hair gets longer, you start feeling yourself and thangs...), but I'm going to try to stay focused on my long term goals and not get caught up in any length that I may gain.

2. Stay on top of my ends.
I'm going to do this by bunning and keeping my ends moisturized and sealed in the buns. I'm also going to dust and search and destroy more often, to keep splits and scraggly ends under control.

3. Relax no more than four times a year.

4. Break up with my flat iron.
I love my Sedu too much. I want to limit direct heat to once a month, and only at the roots.

5. Keep my hands, combs, and brushes out of my hair.

6. Do away with ponytail holders. If the style can't be done with clips, then I don't need to be wearing it.

7. Be healthy!
That means more water, more exercise, more vegetables, and taking my supplements faithfully.

8. Defeat the PJ beast.

9. Grow and retain 12 inches in 2010.
I need about 6 or 7 inches to be BSL, so 12 will place me at MBL.
This most likely will not happen. But I might as well try. :look:

Don't worry be happy
Nice thread OP :) Um, lemme see....

1. to grow and retain 6 inches.

2. to stick to what works and fight the "oooh new conditioner" attacks

3. to protective style 99% of the time

4. To tie my head everynight...this may be a problem, I may have to invest in some satin pillowcases.

DC my hair at minimum 1x a week.

ETA: this is OT, but Chaosbutterfly, when I saw ur siggy gif I was like :ohsnap:  I wear wigs now gotta try hard not to piss ppl off they may try that ish. You got me paranoid now!

1) To bun more
2) To even out all my hair to apl by summer 2010. (I hate that my nape is apl but the rest of my hair is a couple inches shorter in the back)
3) Deep condition my hair twice a week. Works wonders but got lazy in 2009.
4) Texlax only once a year(see how that goes)

I want to reach healthy APL in 2010. I want to maintain and keep the hair that I achieved this year. I want to continue to long term stretch and texlax. My goal is to keep my hair up all year, which won't be hard since I hate wearing my hair down especially since it's at an awkward length right now. My ends need to stay on point too. And I need to keep the scissors out of my hands. No excess or risky experimentation.
