Thanks for this article. My shampoo made the cut (Keracare Hydrating Detangling) My reconstructor made the cut (Joico K-Pak reconstructor). I keep reading and hearing about this Aveda Humectant pomade, but I don't want to shell out $18 for that small jar

Paul Mitchell's foaming pommade

Love this stuff! My stylist uses this to style my hair after relaxing. It always makes my hair feel so soft and moist for days. And it smells good too.

KeraCare and Affirm products are on my list. Paul Mitchell Foaming Pomade is great GiGi! I use it to smooth my hair in the summertime.

But, how in the world did Luster's Pink Oil Moisturizer make the cut? That's some horrible crap! ....at least on my hair...

I've never used any of the other products

You can try the Aura Humectant Pomade. It's Sally's knockoff of Aveda. I think it's $5.99.

I saw an ad for this stuff where the model's hair was silky and blowing in the wind...

Some of my faves made the list: Mizani Moisturfuse, Joico K-Pak and Hairobics Leave-In.

Only two of my faves made the cut - Dudley's DRC-28 (for $45.00 a bottle it should) and Aphogee Keratin Reconstructor, and I saw two of my oldie but goodies - Aveda Brilliant Humectant Pomade and Mizani Moisturefuse (I don't why I stopped using this - oh yeah 'cuz I can NEVER find it!).

I'm sure if some of us created a similar list like this it would be something else, especially if PJ's and color experts contribute.

I have been tryin to find that magazine. I love it. It talks more about Hair care more than any other magazine.

My shampoos (CON Ultra Moist and Motions Lavish Conditioning Shampoo), relaxer (Affirm Sensitive Scalp), and deep conditioner (LeKair Cholesterol) all made the list.
I want to try Mizani products. Are they available in beauty supply stores?

Amen to that sista! Everytime I think about that stuff, I imagine my hair shriveling to a raisan and breaking with a snap.

Re: Black Hairstyles & Trends product picks

One of my nieces uses Luster's Pink Oil Moisturizer. Although I don't use it, I must say, it does well on her hair. It's one of the few products she uses.

Re: Black Hairstyles & Trends product picks

same here. i only use pink oil light on wet hair before airdrying and it is great. my sister uses only this to moisturise and rollerset her ends each nightfor years on end and she is heading for brastrap, thick and healthy.
