Calling all naturals....

I'm currently 20 weeks post and I'm thinking about transitioning. I can't get my hands out of my new growth. Just not sure if I'm reading to take that plunge.

For those that started with APL and did not BC how long did it take?
What would you have done differently...if anything?

I did it the first time in 1986 and the second time in 1993. Back then, there wasn't any help for naturals so I just braided and cut it off an inch or so when I took out the braids. I would probably do it the same way, if I were transitioning now because I don't look great in short hair. My twin could do it I couldn't.

When I started I was APL. I transitioned for 2 years.
I wouldn't have done anything differently. My journey is available in my fotki if you're interested.

Girl, take that plunge!!!
I started my transition at BSL, then chopped about 6 months in to APL.
My transition info is here: http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=361685&highlight=

I'm doing a 2 year transition. The back of my hair, the natural part is at APL right now. The rest is somewhere between chin/neck/shoulder.

GOOD LUCK with your decision.
I doubt you'll regret transitioning to natural.

Check out the transition support thread too!!!
