Hair help: the wedding is 4 weeks away! :(

Hi everyone,

I'm getting married in 4 weeks, and don't know what to do with my hair. :(

I had SL relaxed hair last summer, and was hoping to keep it long enough for wedding hairstyles, while transitioning. Well, I ended up BC'ing in November (the relaxed ends were pathetic), and have been wearing my hair as a TWA or in braids (see blurred pictures).

Now, i don't know what to do. The problem is that I LOVE curls, especially when they fall on my forehead, framing my face. Is there any hope of me achieving hairstyles like these ?

I would like to avoid braids; as seen in the picture with the green shirt, that part is just plain ugly. It could be micro-braided, but there is no time for braiding before the wedding and removing the hair afterwards.

I would wear a nice curly weave. My fear is with regard to the maintenance. I am very active and wash my hair at least twice a week. How would a curly weave survive that treatment?

Please ideas and tips about hair styling would be do so much appreciated!

Thanks

How about a wig since you we're willing to go with a weave. There is one out there for you. I myself am not real comfy in a wig but I did wear one once. I really had to try on several to get to the right one. If you start now and bring an honest friend with you, you should be able to get one. The pic with the flower is pretty but that is hit or miss, it may not look all that cute. Good luck to you!

Here is my curly weave. Google "Confessions of a blog vixen weave"

Congratulations on the upcoming nuptials.

I think a wet and wavy curly weave would do. Depending on how long you want to wear and how much you invest it most do well with repeated washing.

How about using clip in curly hair? That is what I used when I got married. That way you can remove the hair after the wedding.

virtuenow and kupenda, do Curlformers give curls similar to what flexirods do?

Here are my everyday styling using flexirods. I wouldn't want to wear everyday hair at the wedding.

That's a great idea. What sort of clip in did you use and where did you get them from? Was your hair natural at the time? Did the clip in hair match your own texture?

Congrats on your upcoming wedding!! I think the second picture in your sample pics is beautiful. You could use a beautiful clip or flower.

I was relaxed at the time. I just purchased some hair that matched my texture and sewed wig clips on the wefts. Its very easy. You can find wig clips at any BSS or Sally's.

So how did you end up wearing your hair?

I ended up getting a weave installed! It started out as a disaster but after some trial and error, I was satisfied with my wedding day look.

These are some images taken by the guests; the photographer's pictures of my hairstyle haven't been released yet.
