How long will it take for me to get to TWA? Advice

I did the big chop about a month ago. I had severe bald patches so I shaved it down to a fade.
(Not skin though)




It's getting thicker and my bald spots are filling in

However I'm growing impatient and want to know how long it will take me to reach TWA.





Also my edges aren't growing in as much as I would like even though I shaved it to that level thereabouts. It was really bald though so I'm grateful I guess




How long did it take for you to grow out your edges ladies? And a fade if you had one?

Well, you already kinda have a twa.. But I say, you can have the twa you're looking for anywhere from two months to six months for the initial phase. You will probably have around an inch to 3 inches (somewhere around there) of hair by then so it'll be a little more substantial.
That phase can last anywhere from 8 to 15 months... Depending on curl pattern, growth rate, etc. until you have an Official Afro, then onto a BAA. (I'm 13 months post shave and I still consider my 8 inches a twa with it shrinking up to an inch when dry.)
For your edges, castor oil, Miconazole nitrate... Maybe minoval, might help. Scalp massages are a good idea as well for stimulating hair growth. There is an edges thread around here that you can look at also.
Trust me, I know how it feels to get any kind of growth when you cut it down, but do try to enjoy it; you'll probably miss how light your head is, or the feel of water from a shower over your head (kinda ticklish lol). In any case, just give it 6 months. By then, you'll have enough play in for sure.

You can try doing lots of co-washes, scalp massages and moisturizing your hair plenty. You can definitely get more than 3 inches in the 6 months. Castor oil should help in thickening your hair and if you need additional help to get some extra inches monthly you can try growth aid oils, you can either make your own or purchase the ready made ones such as

You could do the cayenne pepper mix, the sulphur mix and the essential oils mix. If you need addition info as to what these oils do and how it has worked for other (which MAY NOT) work for you) then there is always youtube and LHCF search engine.
