Is it ok to relax 4weeks after a failed relaxer?

My sister permed her hair Nov. 21, she'd been scratching her scalp so she had to wash the relaxer out as soon as she put it in. Now she wants me to relax her hair on Dec. 21st, she figures a month is long enough. Has anyone done this before? She uses lye relaxers so I'm not sure if that matters any. I know that I need to protect her ends and don't overlap. Looking at her hair she has about 2 inches of NG.

I had that happen before after being in braids for a while. My hairdresser made me wait the full 6 weeks.

Thanks ladies, I'll tell her to wait 6 weeks. If she can make it 4 she can def. make it 6.
