Micro Braids -- Please Help!

So I just had my hair braided in micros, and the braider refused to cover the length of my hair with the braid. There's about an inch of my hair exposed and unbraided. How can I prevent breakage and split ends?

Did she knnot it where she stopped braiding? Can you just braid it down? What kind of hair is it (straight/curly)?

its human straight, and she did knot it. I'm thinking of undoing the knots and braiding it down. Thats probably the best solution...good thinking.

yeah, and you can lightly mist the braids w/ wave neuvou sp? finishing mist. That's what I do with my micros.
