Sew in a Lace Front

Hey Ladies,

A post in another thread made me want to ask this: Has anyone ever sewed in a lace front? I'm thinking this is a quick and easy way to achieve a natural looking full weave. I plan to wear my hair down, not in a pony tail.

The plan:
Cornrow my natural hair
Sew lace front on top

Questions:
Should I maybe just sew the back and sides and under the bang, but tape the visible front edge?
I'm leaning towards using human hair. Opinions?
Brand suggestions? I'm thinking Remy, the Janet collection

Please let me know if you've tried this and it turned into a HAM!

NO, but that is quite interesting, I was recently thinking of a way to sew on a wig.

I read that too, but I think it was years before the LF's started coming with comb attachments that make using glue optional.

I agree, you shouldn't have to sew it down because lace fronts come with clips, which I hear hold the hair piece very secure to the point where you don't have to attach the front.
