thinking about going natural

hey ladies im seriously thinking about going natural and i need some advice:yawn:, i know there are experts on here that can point me in the right direction, ive seen alot of people grow their hair out so far and then cut it, is that necessary,i dont wanna cut my hair, no matter how long it takes to grow out i would rather wait, unless there is something i dont know about goin natural, the closest ive came was a few months ago i stretched for 5-6 months and had so much new growth and i loved the texture of my hair

please feel free to share any information thanks

Naw girl, you don't have to cut all your hair off in fact, unless you are 100% sure about what you're doing, it's a bad idea (just mho).

there's a few posts around here that can really help you learn what you'll need to do. i'll try to search for the threads but i'm really hoping someone has the links saved

You can definitely grow your hair out however your styling options will probably change. A lot of people that grow there hair out call it transitioning and they do so with braid outs, wearing buns etc... There are a lot of transitioning threads. I on the other hand did what you don't want to do I chopped it all off...that worked for me but doesn't work for most.

you can just do a long transition and snip off the relaxed ends as you go along. that's my plan.
the transitioners threads here are VERY helpful and encouraging.
good luck!!

I'm transitioning and cutting off my relaxed hair every once in a while (a lot here and a little there).

nope, you don't have to cut it. i have absolutely NO plans to BC. the word on the street is, though, that a lotta folx get tired of dealing with the transition and just go ahead and BC. the transition is VERY trying, but always remember it is MIND over MATTER - you control your hair, it doesn't control you :spinning:

good luck with you transition and feel free to PM me if you have any questions or need some encouragement or a :hug2:

Lynnie gave you some great threads to read through to start, too :yep:
