Thinking of getting braids...

Hi ladies. With the weather warming up and transitioning (only 4 mos. post) I've seen a lot of ladies transitioning in w/sew-ins and braids. I just had a sew-in takedown after 8 weeks. Had a LOT of ng (woo!) but still dealing with 2 textures and ready to hide again. I'm debating on whether to get sew-in #2 or try some braids. I was thinking braids would be easier(?) to manage if that makes sense.

I love this style...

Anyone know or have any suggestions what kind/brand of hair I would use for braids like these? Or have had something similar? Was digging the spiral effect. TIA

One thing to ask before deciding on a braider is how far down they will braid. While transitioning the first time, I had to change braiders to someone who would braid all the way down because as my hair grew, my relaxed hair was down past where the straight hair at the end of the braid hair was and the relxed hair would stick out of the braid.

Maybe someone else can explain it a little better though.

I very much like the style and used to get it done regularly. My braiders always picked up the hair for me.

If you were after synthetic hair, I think this can be achieved with regular pony extensions...

I'm sure the ladies that wear braids more often will come in here
