I gave up on trying to find a decent affordable salon and did my touch up myself last night. I used motions salon herbals(lye) regular strength and it did virtually nothing
. I was very diligent in applying and smoothing. It just made my hair slightly less poofy, but the roots are still very kinky. It's pretty much evenly underprocessed all over (no straight sections). I was already 18 weeks past my previous touch up and I can't foresee waiting that long again. I would like to get another touch up done asap. Ideally how long should I wait? I think my problem was down to the relaxer and not my technique. Can anyone recommend any good lye relaxers(I'm not sure if no-lye is a good idea)?
