What are the perceptions and misconceptions about black hair ?

This is a question posed by Soledad on CNN and a lot of folks have responded. So far I haven't seen too much that is out of order in peoples post but I did not read them all. I guess this is to go with Chris Rock's new movie "Good Hair" (they showed a trailer on the BIA2 Program.
