where to buy sulphur, and which one?

hello ladies. i am having some thinning issues and i have recently started reading up on sulphur and BT at LHCF. i just got a bottle of BT on monday (so too soon to tell results) but all the testimonials about growth (and particularly those who had thinning or balding) are making me cross my fingers. the thing is, right before i used BT i was using an EO mix, which seemed to make some difference, so i don;t want to let go of that. i am thinking of alternating the treatments - e.g. BT in the mornings and then alternate BT and my EO mix every other night. or just mix the EOs into the BT (but i am afraid that this will dilute the sulphur), so i wanted to buy some extra sulphur.

where can i buy sulphur, and in what forms does it come - e.g. powder, grease, liquid etc. i'm not african-american, so i have no clue about sulphur and its seemingly myriad uses. but i am dying to try this and want to make sure i am using the sulphur to its full potential (i might even add a bit of sulphur to my post-shampoo serum mix). can you please help me out? thanks so much!

www.sulfursoap.com They sell 4oz(I believe) of powdered sulfur. That where I got mine. I add it to everything. I'm going to make my own little BT with it too.

You can get it (flowers of sulfur) from most pharmacies (Walgreens, Jewel, CVS etc.), they may have it in stock or you may have to order it. It usually takes a day or two and its pretty cheap to get.

I couldn't find it anywhere. I tried so hard. That's why I had to go the site.

For a bulk order, I also shop at Baldwin's: http://www.baldwins.co.uk/.

They ship bulk sulfur very quickly from the UK. Although, I'm in Boston and shipping may be a little faster to here... :look: I use quite a bit in homemade hair and facial products.

OT: Just wanted to say that you don't have to be african-american to know about the "myriad uses" of sulfur, nor do all african-americans know about sulfur and its uses in haircare. I'm posting this because I don't want you (or anyone) to make general assumptions about ANY race. I AM african-american, and didn't know a thing about sulfur until joining this forum. So just thought i'd say that. That's all, back to the forum. And good luck with your hair.

alisha, sorry, i didn't mean it in that way - it's just that when i was reading about sulphur here and on other sites, the ONLY people who seemed to have jumped in on the discussion are AAs, and sulphur is largely used only in products specialised for AA hair. i just meant that it seems that AAs have more exposure to the use of sulphur in hair care products and thus know a lot more details about it. for instance, i am indian, and if somebody mentioned something like that about ayurveda, i wouldn't take any offense - i realise as a practical matter that it is mostly indians who are exposed to ayurvedic ways and have more knowledge on its uses.

and i posted the topic here because the users on this site in particular - AA or otherwise - seem to know the most about sulphur. in fact, this is the site where i found out about sulphur.

and on that note, thanks all for your postings - i just ordered emu oil (better penetration) and sulfur from penn herb, and i am going to mix it up and add a few EOs. i was using BT but i think the olive oil was too heavy for me. i also just started using alfaparf energy booster serum (previously lipoxin) which has sulfur peptides - hopefully something will give :)

I want to alternate with a BT /EO mix as well. What were the EO's that you were using where you saw some progress? Sorry the BT did not work for you but I really think the combo of the emu oil with sulfur might work. I definitely want to order some emu oil too.
