I know its been a loooong time since I spoke with you. My daughter (now age 3) was posted on your site and it was said that she had weave, perm, and will grow up to be bald. Everyone thought I was a ghetto unfit mom and had plenty to say about what she would grow up to be. I guess it was too hard to believe that a black baby could have naturally pretty hair that didnt need chemicals and extensions to look like that. well I’m sending you pics I took of her this weekend, she got her hair WASHED, BLOW-DRIED, and FLATIRONED this weekend so that she could update her portfolio/compcard with a different look than her normally big curly hair. your reader’s jaws will drop when they see 2 years later her hair is STILL beautiful, chemical free, and healthy! Most of them pay a fortune each year for that

Since we last spoke, she has done work in film (Notorious), commercial, and print ads like Target, Children’s Place, Amway Global, Joe Fresh, and more.

But yes, I remember that mum...she seemed nice. I guess knowing the kind of person Sandra is, she felt the need to put it out there that way. Especially with some of those original post comments.

I think the mum is pretty much defending herself against the people who said her daughter's baby picture (posted on Sandra WITHOUT her consent) was a weave, gel, the mum was ghetto, the daughter would be bald. So I guess this is a "look at me now. What you said would happen didn't."

I guess we can argue it's a bit extra...the mum also clarified even afro textured hair is pretty hair, too. It's really easy to pick someone's words apart but I don't see her touting her baby as a "Look at mah good haired chile." type thing vs a mum who should have a bit tougher skin when having even your child out there, people will scrutinize.
