Are you getting 1/2 inch per month or more?Reply/Post here!!

Hello everyone:grin:... I only got 5 inches of growth year and I believe it stressed related.( First year of college).. Is there anyway I can back to 7-8 inches a year(.7 is my normal growth rate)? Any methods/exercises that relieve stress? I have thinning patches too... Can anybody help me to getting my normal growth rate?

Here are some things I believe can help
-exercise/running
-using sulfur
-eating healthy(which I havent been doing due to dorming:nono: smh)

Any tips are greatly appreciated....:yep:

Yes exercising relieves stress and you should eat healthy not only for you hair, but for your body. You can also try meditation if you are stressed often. I wouldnt even be thinking about decreasing stress for my hair, but for my overall health. Too much built up stress leads to early deaths.

I say focus on your body and overall health and you hair will flourish.

How is your water intake? That also will help and exercise is one of the best stress relievers. Since your in college funds are probably limited, so you best bets are to do those two(exercise and drink plenty of water), use castor oil on the thinning areas, take biotin and b vitamin complex.

Not I understand sweetie :/.... I try to drink more water .. I believe that helps all around. For some reason vitamins make me pee more and I dont like the way I feel when I take them.So I have stopped.I wud rather eat healthy. But I am not sure about them though.

5 inches is pretty good especially when the avg is 6 inches. Genetics is what determines your hair growth but eating right and exercise can maximize your potential hair growth.

What about taking one multi-vitamin and then look to other sources for biotin and sulfur (my fav is eggs)

I am transitioning...(hello fellow transitioner!).. And I sort of measured with my fingers and not a ruler....:perplexed, Im 11 months post

Oh hahaha I didn't even look at your siggy! I would try to focus on eating better, taking a multivitamin, plenty of water and exercise. I only get .5 a month. I'm testing out sulfur right now to see if it's worth it.....Also measure with a ruler. Which I haven't done. But I think I have 4 inches of growth and my bf thinks I have 6 so one of us or both don't know what an inch is lol

Thanks so much LaFemme and everyone else...I appreciate it. Girl the sulfur is worth it. I only purchase mine for 1.79 at the pharmacy:spinning:. I wondered why I even purchased other growth aids when my homemade one cost me less than 2 bucks:nono:!

How long have you been using it? So far, my growth oil along with MSM everyday has not increased my growth rate but my face has broken out! 1.79 is cheap! Mine was 4 or 5 dollars I think.

Every other day only on my crown(my problem area).. Oh my goodness I even think it worked better than my beemine! That area has grown so much but I never measure . I only use my fingers. It grew about 2 inches in 6-7 weeks. My crown hasnt been this long since I was young. It also helping my thinning edges

lol..yea but thats the best growth I got all year:perplexed. Plus the summer heat and I was seriously exercising 3-4x a week...But the exercising helped:spinning:

:giggle: You're so silly. So you think you got 5 inches in a year. Is that from projecting based on what you've got so far, or did you forget there are 12 months in a year? :p And how did you measure 5 inches with your fingers?

I would seriously recommend purchasing Alta Silica to anyone wanting their hair to grow faster. I think it was Vevster who recommended this brand of silica sometime last year. I never really endorse products. I got a haircut late October of last year and the hairdresser cut it shoulder length (this was the time that I started taking the Alta Silica). My hair was barely grazing my shoulders. I weaved my hair up a couple times between then and January of this year. When I took the weave out in late January (washed, deep conditioned, blow-dried) my hair had grown at least 2-3 inches and my hair does not normally grow this fast. I think on average my hair grows 1/4 inch a month.

^^Did you used to take silica before this brand? I ask because sometimes a boost in growth is not because of a particular product but rather because you personally were deficient in that nutrient and so once your body got it, your growth became optimum, because the missing ingredient is now added to the mix.

I have taken other brands of silica in the past, but never saw the same result as taking the Alta brand. I take a host of other vitamins for health benefits and the Alta brand was the only new supplement that I had added.

LOL^^^^
here is an small paragraph about O blood type which is me and why I eat so much meat.

"Now if O or B eat meat, their bodies metabolize it better, and the agglutination process does not take place, or if it does, it is very minor and not life threatening. Type Os, who usually completely metabolize meat and gain all the benefits from it (with the exception of pork) are at little or no risk. Further, since an O starts out with the thinnest blood, any agglutination that takes place will thicken the blood, but not to the extent experienced by the other blood types, or to a life threatening situation."

The book has been around forever and now they have a really great website.
I grew up a semi-vegetarian we only ate meat fridays (fish or pork) and sundays (beef) I was a sickly child and I can say changing my eating habits has made me healthier. I live on protein now and I am stronger and WARMER! I put on a little weight which I needed too. Unfortunately it didn't go to my girls or my rump.

ETA The dadamo.com website is old there is a new one 4yourtype.com click above
