OK, yall convinced me!!! I went to the BSS, I bought 2 (6oz) jars.....THIS STUFF IS OFF THE HOOK... it is the color of honey, it looks solid but it is very creamy once you put it in your hair....a little goes a long way atleast for me I now have about 5 inches of natural hair (stretched) I left it on while I showered for about 10 minutes.....my hair feels veery moisturized afterwards...nice little ringlets :) I'm letting my hair airdry now!!! I called the BSS and told him to order the 16oz jar :) THANKS SO1913 :)

So1013 I kept thinking this looks like something other than honey that I stated above it really looks like PEANUT BUTTER, LOL.....Yall this stuff works, I just tried to call my BSS to see if he got the order in but their not answering the phone right now, :( I am going to stock up too :)

I use to use the New Era reconstuctor conditioner when I was in college. That stuff was the bomb!!!! I have not seen it in any of the Sally's in Chicago. I have seen it once at one of the BSS. However, the bottle were all dirty and old looking like they had been sitting around since the early 80's. :nono:

Which BSS did you see it at?

Hey so1913,

It's the same color and texture! I was just saying that it was "different" as in unusual. Most deep conditioners have that usual creamy consistency.

So far I like it. I washed my hair at the gym yesterday, then put the reconstructor on and sat in the sauna so that i could dry a bit. Then I rinsed and put on the conditioner and a cap and sat in the steam room. The hair that came loose from the braids seemed super moisturized.

I'm gonna try to work this in to my weekly regimen. I've been overlooking my deep treatments.

Hmm...might have to buy the last two tubs at Sterling just in case.

MY update after using for a few days I have been conditioner washing every other day with this and this stuff is TRULY AMAZING....tonight I was washing my hair it felt so thick, strong and moisturized at the same time and this is only like the 3rd time I've used it... I had NO SHEDDING whatsoever this is the BEST PRODUCT as far as conditioner that I have ever used, like someone said IT IS DIFFERENT in a very good way....THANKS AGAIN SO1913 :)....I called my BSS today he was susposed to order the 16oz jars, on the phone he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about sooo I'm gonna go back and get the remaining 6oz jars for $2.99 I think they had like 3 left :(......this product also has lecithin(sp) and pathenol that's probably why this product works SO WELL :)

On average, how much are you guys paying for this? I saw this in my local BSS, but it was $8.99 (almost passed out from sticker shock! :lachen: ).

I paid 2.99 for the 6oz jars...I'm thinking that's about right for the 16oz jar...GIRL you BETTER GET IT :) it is worth the price, as per the directions you only need to use 1oz each time you use it...it will last you a good while a little goes a long way :)

So you can only get this online???? God bless you all.

No, most of the people who responded to this thread that purchased it picked it up in a local beauty supply store. I just can't find it locally where I am anymore.

Back reads:

Restores essential moisture to dry, brittle, chemically processed hair.

For severely damaged, dry, brittle, tinted, bleached, curly permed or relaxed hair. Helps restore and lock essential moisture which is required to maintain hair elasticity, flexibility and naturally healthy condition without making hair oily or greasy. Leaves hair soft, pliable and lustrous.

Excelent for dry hair caused by curly perms, relaxers, blow dryers and curly irons.

ETA: Correction in ingredients, missed some...

water, quaternium-18, hydrolyzed collagen, glyceryl stearate, peg-100 stearate, cocamidopropylbetaine, glycerine, cetyl alcohol, lecithin panthenol, vitamin E acetate, citric acid, potassium orbate, imidazolidinyl urea, methychloroisothiazolinone & methyllsothiazollnone, fragrance.

Don't know what 90% of this crap is, lol, but I never had any problems with it.

Okay. . . .

So I have something different.

New Era Hair Moisturizer Treatment for Dry Brittle Hair
Contains Lecithin and DL-Panthenol Complex

Ingredients: Water, Quaternium-18, Hydrolyzed Animal Protein, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Lecithin, Isopropyl Alcohol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Panthenol, Triclosan, Sorbic Acid, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Fragrance.

~~~~~~~~
The container looks similar to the pic posted earlier, but I missed the 2000. So either I have some old ish from the 90's or some new stuff. It definitely has that champagne color, it's very thick and rich...almost stiff.
Whatever. I'm gonna use it and I'll order the other stuff once I come out of this purchasing hiatus. lol!
Hmmm, well I just corrected my ingredient list, I noticed I missed some my first go round.
the front of my jar says in small print at the bottom "New Formula with extra moisturizers" but your description of the conditioner sounds pretty much the same.
Well, mine is the I posted the pic of in the original post that says New Era 2000 Hair Moisturizer Lecithin & Panthenol with Vitamine E Treatement for dry Brittle Hair and then says "New forumula with added moisturzers" at the bottom. The ingredients I have I listed are a few posts up which seem to be slightly different...the description of the actual conditioner however seems the same.
My directions list 1-5
1. Shampoo and towel dry hair
2. Apply 1 oz. to 1.5oz. moisturizer to hair and work thoroughly throughout hair.
3. comb lend with wiede-tooth comb to assure even coverate. For split ends, apply additionel moisturzer to hair ends and massage in thoroughly.
4. Apply to remain aon hair and scalp for 15 minuetes. TO HELP RELIEVE SCALP DRYNESS, MASSAGE WELL INTO SCALP.
5. Rinse thoroughly with tepid water and style hair in the usual manner.
Is the moisturizing shampoo on the website you posted as well? What is the exact name of the shampoo?
Yep, they have it. It's just called New Era Moisturizing Shampoo. I don't remember anything spectacular about it like the conditioner, but it's a decent shampoo that I'd use again.
