Prayer Journal Or Something Similar

Yes, I have a prayer journal and it's a blessing. I'm able to cast all of my cares unto the Lord by writing down my thoughts, feelings, desires, and struggles.

When I flip through previous pages of what I've written in the past, I'm able to see how God answered my prayers and helped me overcome some obstacles.

I have been keeping a prayer journal since 2000. I write out my prayers, concerns, quotes from devotionals, notes from sermons, even quotes/statements from you inspiring ladies on LHCF

Like Pink Pebbles above, it's encouraging to have a reminder of how God has worked out my situations.

I'm so glad that I came across this post today. This is something that I've often thought about doing.

Hi Livingmylifetothefullest, I have a prayer journal as well. Mine is a leatherbound journal, that I've been writing in for the past 4 years. I agree with the other ladies, it's great to go back and look at how God has answered my prayers in the past and how He works out my problems that I bring to Him.

Prayer Journals are wonderful. To me they are like 'love letters' from me and God to one another.

It's a '"Love Diary" to be treasured forever. :yep:

Thank you for sharing this.

I've just counted mine, and I have 25 notebooks of Prayer Journals! I've been keeping them since 1987!!! WOW...I didn't realize it!

I think its the best thing that you can do as a believer in Jesus. It's encouraging, uplifting and fufilling! I've had some of my best times of hearing from the Lord and getting His direction during my times of writing!

In a year, go back and re-read what you have written, and see how blessed you become...you will be blessed!

Thanks so much ladies. I just got back from Target and picked up a leather notebook to get started along with post it notes. This is only the beginning but I'm determined to not let anything get in my way. :yep:

I've never kept a prayer journal, but about 14 years ago I started keeping a journal. Over the course of about eight months I wrote in the journal several times a week. I was going through some pretty heavy stuff at the time. Occasionally, I'll pull out that journal, read it and think about how far God has brought me. It was during that time in my life that I had absolutely nothing to go on but God's word and it reminds me if I can believe God for the things He promised to me then, I can believe God for anything.

It truly is...I guess I did not realize how much the Lord has given me in my walk with Him doing this.

I encourage every believer to do it!!!

Thanks for this thread...I was always a journal person and throughout my journals I would write prayers. In the last few years I've fallen off from writing but since this thread I've started my journal again. Prayer journaling always helps me refocus back on my Christian walk...thanks again!
