Hey YALL! So I just cut and colored my hair. What products are you using? Are the products you used before working now that you're hair is dyed? Are you using more products with protein? What say you? I'd love to hear from you! Particularly oneastrocurlie :yep:.

Please chime in!

Hey girl hey! Lol.

I've been using Aphogee 2 min and Aphogee green tea leave in. I either follow up with a DC that's low or has no protein after using the 2 min or just mix it. And I use my APB after using the green tea.

Also I got a sample of Redkens color extender shampoo. Now I know I don't need another shampoo but I really like it. I'm thinking of getting a full size. Ulta sell the little samples too.

Other than that I've been doing the LCO method in the AM and I'll lightly spray my hair at night so I moisturize twice a day.

The very front of my hair is dyed light brown. The rest is my natural dark brown with henna hues. I just make sure I deep condition every time I wash and add molasses on top every other wash. I haven't seen any breakage in the front.

I use Nexxus Emergencee as needed and I use Chi Keratin mist as a detangler. I also use a lot of aloe vera juice so the protein is necessary. I do use any products specifically for color treated hair. Just Keracare detangling shampoo, Kracare Humecto, evoo, aloe vera juice and Hello Hydration.

Thanks ladies! I figured I will continue my moisture routine to use up my products and just monitor my hair.

Any other suggestions are welcomed!

I use a keratin reconstructor 4 to 7 days after my color and then once a month after that. I don't use any other protein products other than that.

I use permanent color and found this to work best for me to retain moisture.
