Are there any reviews on Alikay Naturals products?

I recently picked up a couple at a hair show but wanted to see recent some reviews.

I was looking for other products on Target.com recently and I came across this product line. I took a chance and just recently ordered the leave-in conditioner, yogurt hair moisturizer, moisture rich hair parfait and hair growth oil. I figured I'd give them a try based on the reviews on their website and a few on Target, which seemed positive. My order has not shipped yet, so we'll see how they work out.

I really like Alikay Naturals!

Creme Brulee gives me the best definition when I WNG. This is the first product to give me 2nd-4th day hair. It's great! My hair got crunchy after using it once because I used too much and I didn't fluff my hair. After I fluffed it, it was fine. I can also use it as a light gel for my edges when I need them held down. It doesn't hold SUPER WELL, but it is a very light hold.

Right now I have the Moisture Rich Hair Parfait in my hair. I put it on right out of the shower onto dripping wet hair. I use this on days when I am not concerned with curl definition. Not gonna lie, it does leave my hair feeling a bit oily, but that could be because I'm heavy handed with product. All in all, it makes my hair feel so soft. The main ingredient is shea butter, and oddly enough my hair loves it. I tried using shea butter on my hair years ago, and it made my hair hard, but this does not. I am certain that this is a staple product!

I should also add that the Moisture Rich gave me the best, fullest, and fluffiest twist out that I've ever had. I swore that my twist outs were anemic due to low density, but I'm starting to think that product may play a role.

I recently tried the Shea Yogurt, but I don't know where I stand with that. I used it with the Lemongrass Leave-in, but since that always makes my hair hard, I can't say whether the reason I didn't like was because of the product itself or the leave in that I used with it.

I also tried, and loved, the Co Wash Me conditioner, but I can't get with paying that much for conditioner when I use it so often. The aloe berry styling gel is my absolute favorite. It has taken the place of Ecostyler for me. I used another conditioner and leave in but I can't remember which. I may have written reviews of them somewhere in the hair forum. If I come across them, I'll repost here.

oh, and I have the Sage Deep conditioner, but I haven't tried it yet. I've been hair lazy since I moved. :)

HTH! :)

I have a couple items from the Line but haven't tried it. The Honey & Sage DC'er and some sort of Spritz/Detangler.

Will continue watching this thread. Would love to pick up 1 or 2 more items.

Thanks OP!

I saw the owner/creator at the hair show I went to and got 3 products. All yellow - the creme brulee, lemongrass leave in and the shea yoghurt moisturiser. I did think of getting the moisture rich parfait but I thought that I would use the ones I got first before getting any others plus I justified it by saying that I would use the ones I got together (since they are all the same colour).

Hope to see some more reviews as her products are in target, therefore better availability.

I have some samples and a full size bottle of the lemongrass spray that came in my Curlkit but haven't tried them yet. I've wanted to buy some of her products for a while now but I am not feeling her prices or her sales. A lot of people seem to like that lemongrass spray.

I love this hair product line. I have the following:

- Lemongrass Leave-In Conditioner, I use this daily after my shower while my hair is still damp. I don't wear a shower cap, I feel the moisture from the shower is beneficial.

Shea Yogurt Hair Moisturizer, I use this daily after using the Lemongrass Leave In. This product was too heavy for my daughter's 3c hair, but my hair loves it!

- Argan Oil Silkener, I use this oil as the O (oil) when I do the LOC after cleansing my hair.

- Co Wash Me Cleansing Conditioner, I used this today and I liked it.

The honey and sage DC is really nice. I steamed with it and my hair was super soft. The first time I used it without steaming, just with my heat from my hothead and it was okay. Definitely will steam with again.

I did not like that Lemongrass spray. It made my hair hard. Hate that stuff. I returned it. Sad because that one product turned me off to the entire line. Im funny like that.....

I love the lemongrass spray. I would have never bought it cause her prices are to high but I got a free sample from a hair show and I've been hooked. I seal it with shea butter or an oil and my hair is soft for days. I mostly do twist outs if that helps. I just bought two 16oz from her cyber Monday sale.

Just out of curiosity, what other leave-ins/moisturizers do you find works for your hair, like other brands? Sprinkl3s

To tell you the truth I've been looking for a long time. I was going back and forth between the Camille rose leave in and the Eden one. When I first started out I liked the shea moisture but it would build up and leave my hair hard. Mixed chicks, Giovanni, and cantu all made my hair crispy when it dried. And that kinky curly gave me no moisture.

The Lemongrass leave-in works great as a refresher spray for my braids and twists. I didn't like it as an actual leave in though.

Now the Creme Brulee Curling Custard is awesome!!! Smells great and give great hold without flaking :yep:

I have used the Honey & Sage conditioner on two occasions, earlier this year and now. When I used it earlier, it was good but I moved on because I feel I had to use too much of the product. The jar was small but expensive.

Fast forward to today and now that my hair is more hydrated than before; I don't have to use as much. I steamed with it and my hair remained very soft after rinsing and I had good slip to finger detangle. I chose this conditioner because it doesn't have as much protein as my regular one. Protein is #10 on the ingredient list and it's naturally derived (silk amino acids) plus AVJ is the first ingredient! Actually the entire ingredient list is AMAZING and the scent is DELICIOUS!

My hair is 4b/c, fine, low-medium density. I don't know my porosity.

Nice review. That reminds me, the jar is quite small and I can easily see myself getting just three uses out of it I slather it in like I tend to do with my conditioners.

I like the lemongrass leave in. Still playing with the best way to use it. I want to eventually try more stuff, but there are so many other lines and I have SO. Much stuff. Competition is fierce.

Love the Honey & Sage. Bought the Avocado DC'er a while back. I also want to try Botanicals Scalp Balm at some point.
