Do Pictures Lie?

Thatz funny, because I was thinking the opposite when I took pic yesterday. My hair liiked a lot fuller in person. Maybe it is my "vision" and not the camera.
Does anyone else (besides me) feel like pics make your hair lookprettier/thicker/longer than in real life? My hair tends to look better on camera.
Am I the only person that feels this way?
I feel the same way. That's why I like to take pics from all hair angles
. I also like to take pics with my shirt off or a white t-shirt, so viewers can get an idea of how thin/thick my hair is. I will sometimes turn the flash off because it makes my hair look shiny and my hair is not shiny at all.

i think my hair looks better in real life when its curly, when its straight it pretty much looks the same.
in its curly state on camera, all you see is a black mass, but in real life the curl pattern and color shows up ALOT better than it appears in pictures.

I always think that my hair looks prettier, and the I look better and thinner in pictures than I do when I look in the mirror at myself. My husband tells me than I have a warped misconception of the way that I really am.

My hair looks horrible in pictures! i hope it doesnt look that way in real life 
erplexed but i really cant tell. I bun alot and my hair is uneven. It always looks frizzy (im transitioning) but when i use heat it FEELS great. Looking and feeling are two diff things though...thats another subject.

ITA! My hair looks much more lush in pics than in real life (to me). I definitely think pics can make your hair look thicker and shinier/healthier, but not necessarily longer. The camera is tricky...it can show all the imperfections, but it can also hide them depending on how your hair is styled (wet, dry, curly, straight, etc.).No, you are not alone. I feel the same way about my hair sometimes. It is also a BIG let down to see someone's hair looking so beautiful and gorgeous in picture but up close in person

I HATE how my hair looks in pictures 
(which I was I don't update often ) When I look in the mirror I can see how full my hair is getting, when I do the stretch test I can see the length, I get compliments all the time in person....but let me try to duplicate what I see in the mirror onto the camera...I LOOK LIKE A H.A.M. 
I am convinced my hair will not look good in pics til I PASS APL.

I totally agree.
In pictures, when straight, it looks a lot thicker than it really is.
When I rollerset, it looks thicker than it actually is period: pictures and IRL.erplexed

It depends, I think some people's hair looks great in pics and not so hot in real life . Then they're are some people whose hair looks even better in real life than in pics . I can usually have an idea of what a person's hair looks like in real life from looking at a pic...

what she said. it also looks shinier bc of the flash. i am master of disguise. people think my hair is way thicker than it is bc i were roller sets mostly.

Well I don't know if it's my camera or not. But I'll be feeling my hair & go grab my camera to take some pics & then I'm like, that's not what my hair looks like. So maybe my eyes are the liars. LOLI actually think pictures make my hair look worse. But I think I need a new camera.

ITA. When my hair is in a afro, it appears smaller on camera. And I believe that if you just add alittle of your favorite oil over your newly flat ironed hair and put FLASH on the highest setting, you to can have hair that appears shiny and lush
. JMOETA: Im not saying anyone in particular, just in general.

My hair is way thicker and redder in real life than what it appears like on pictures, but it only has high shine after a fresh henna. The camera adds more blingy-blingy!

Nope, you're not the only one. Sometimes I look at my pics like is that really my hair???
I think my hair def looks thicker & prettier in pics. Its hard to tell cuz there's no way for me to know what my hair really looks like to other people. I'd hate for people to see me IRL and be like "damn, her hair ain't really all that

Agreed. My hair definitely loooks better in person. My hair isn't photogenic and neither am I!
