Spinoff: Mentally Challenged...

The same way people can be healed of AIDS, paralysis, demons, deafness, blindness, leprosy etc, couldn't they be healed from being mentally challenged?
Surely there's no task too great for God, but why is it they aren't healed of this?
Have any of you ladies seen a recovery from this, or have any words on the matter?

Well, disorders that affect the brain can include both the mentally challenged and the mentally ill.

The normal fertilized egg contains 23 chromosomes. However, in the Down Syndrome baby, there are extra 21st chromosomes. This directly affects brain development and in most cases results in low iq. Man says there is no cure.

Someone with a mental illness such as depression, bipolar disorder, or
schizophrenia, has a chemical imbalance that affects the serotonin (and other) level that is treatable with medicine. For most mental illnesses, man says there is no cure.

I said all that to say this............I believe that ANYTHING is possible with JESUS. I believe HE can heal any illness. And if HE doesn't do it while we are here on Earth, once we reach Heaven; we will be healed. HE is going to give us a better body--a glorified body. There will be no sickness in Heaven.

My mom had a stroke and they say it damaged 70% of her brain cells. We were told she would never be whole again. In fact, they told us she would die in 3 days. It's been 6 years later and ain't nothing wrong with her mind she is as sharp as a tac. Jesus is a healer

ITA that's amazing! Thank God! I know He could heal the mentally challenged (though your Mom wasn't) but I've never seen it though?

Has anyone else come across healing of this?

Mmm Hmm There are plenty of people that have recovered from autism. I'm sure that my son will be one of them as he's making soooo much progress.

In addition, I know a toddler girl that was born severely premature (like week 25) and had a level 4 brain hemorrhage that is progressing wonderfully. She's exceeding everyone's expectations.

I also know another little girl that had a anuerism and you cannot tell that she's been affected.
