Ladies,

Where can I find the Motions Moisture Plus in the tub? I'm thinking y'all might say BSS...if so, does BSS stand for "Beauty Supply Store"? I just always assumed thats what it was

Are you familiar with the Northlake Mall area? They have a Beauty supply store with a large selection. They're price for Motions was actually cheaper than the Sally's Beauty Supply near me. But I've found it in every BSS store I've been in in the metro area. That's one of the reasons I like it - no matter where I'm at, I can find it.

Thanks, Myco :) I live not too far from Northlake mall area so I will check out their selection tomorrow. Thanks so much!

Locoabouthair, I found DPR-11 at a couple of BSS' @ about 6 bucks for the jar.

Thanks ladies!!! :superbanana: This keeps my pjism down, so I won't have to try everything popular that's mentioned on this board.

I think the Elasta OP has better ingredients and is a better conditioner!

The motions left my hair feeling alright... but the DPR left it feeling buttery.

The motions also has a lot of irritating fragrance in it.

I used to use MMP but stopped b/c I was always afraid of the mineral oil in the product...since SweetCashew gave it her stamp of approval I will definitely have to give it a try again :)

I use DPR 11 and I love it, it doesn't give great slip but the way my hair is super soft and shiny and black and my curls are defined I can tell it is moisturized. my hair adores it and i have no intention on using anything from motions, my hair does NOT like that brand.. matter of fact I just washed some DPR out!! I think a lot of people confuse slip with moisturized. Slip (as it was explained to me) is superficial like HE moisture whatever it is conditioner gives my hair AWESOME slip and I mean AWESOME but does not moisturize deep down once my hair is dry for some hours it's like I never did anything at all!! So i will use DPR 11 for DC and a cheapie (HE) put in wash out conditioner for slip.

I was gonna write in my blog about slip vs. moisture. People definitely confuse the two. Products that usually have lots of slip usually leaves your hair feeling dry after a day or two.

A lot of people think if a conditioner doesn't have slip then it's not great. That is very wrong.

I always added oil and a little water to the DPR to make it a little less thick. The oil helps a lot with slip. I've also added honey to the mix :lick:

I have a different staple DC now, but I remember it being a very good DC and I used it for a long time as a staple. If I was in a bind and I didn't find my regular DC I'd go for the elasta without a problem.

I recently tried Motions Moisture plus and ended up giving it to my sister (relaxed).
My hair didn't feel horrible, it came out just as dry as before I DC.

Elasta QP DPR is great and I will probably stick with this and Honeysuckle rose

i havent used motions in a while but i already know i like QP better, although as posted it does not give great slip it does leave my hair very soft and manageable.

DPR - 11 leaves my hair hard , dry and tangled. It has no slip at all.

Motions gives me slip, moisture, and leaves my hair silky and soft . its tha best.

DPR-11 will give major moisture to your strands...MMP feels superficial. It isn't thick and doesn't adhere to my strands and PENETRATES the way DPR-11 does. I will keep this in my storehouse. It is awesome...throw on some vatika or parachute ccnut oil, and you are in HEAVEN.....at least your hair, anyway:look:

MMP definitely. Elasta QP is wayyy too thick for me and leaves my hair feeling "gummy." I had to turn mine into a pre-poo to use it all up. Plus, I feel that MMP penetrates better.

I like MMP because it really makes my hair feel moisturized and the Elasta QP DPR-11 dried my hair the heck out! It made it feel like straw. I tried to give it a second and third chance but it still felt the same:nono:

Don't worry be happy
I absoultely detest DPR-11. Made my hair a hard dry tangly mess. Even when I added a bunch of oils/butters/glycerin/honeyquat to it.Even when I clarified first. A mess. I really wanted to like it. I used up the whole tub trying.

MMP on the other hand, very nice slip, gave fair moisture when I added some EVOO and DC'ed with heat. But it didn't knock my socks off. (ORS replenishing does though :yep:)

I love Elasta QP DPR and voted for it. It left my newgrowth soft, moisturized and easy to detangle. It has better ingredients and smells good too.
Motion MM scares me.. I've used their line but nothing to rave about.
