Oh, WOW, LL!!! That's GORGEOUS!! And didn't you JUST get it cut to like APL?

*whispers* And girl, you do have a long neck! You are the girl next to the one in the bantu knots, ain'tcha??? :lachen:

you are sooooooo wrong for that! :lachen: (but yeah, my neck is right up there with theirs :look:)

:notworthy: I'm loving your hair, did you use Sabino this time too?

i sure did :yep:

Gorgeous!! You have to tell us how everyone reacted at the party.

okay well... the party was for my friend who is preggers (she's moving back to her hometown) and she had mentioned once that she wanted to see my hair straight. well, i figured with this being her last night i'd straighten it just for her. she was blown away. :grin: most everyone else there had seen my hair straightened, after i got the cut in April/May (whenever that was, LOL) so they were mostly commenting on how much it's grown out since then.

:worship2::thud: Your hair is GORGEOUS

Please tell me more about these tea rinses...TIA

i buy the powders from the Indian store, and put 1 teaspoon of shikakai to 2 teaspoons of amla in a coffee filter. i brew them in my mini coffee maker (i get free coffee at work so i wasn't using the coffee maker anyway), i use enough water to make 3 cups and then after it brews i add another 3 cups of cold water. i wash in sections so, i dip my braids in the tea, then pour it over my whole head. sometimes i use the leftover paste in the coffee filter to scrub my scalp... it feels gooooooood. :grin: yesterday was the first time in i think 2 months since i've used shampoo... i will have to use it again to wash the Sabino out but then it's right back to my ayurveda routine.

so there just might be something to this ayurvedic thing... although i quit on the oil massages :look: i've still been using the shik/amla tea to clean my hair 2-3 times a week, and other than conditioner not using anything else on my hair.

last night we had a good-bye party for my friend at work, i decided to straighten my hair for the night:

for those that don't know... summer is when my hair growth comes to a screeching halt. yet i'm only an inch or so away from BSL. :grin:

BEAUTIFUL:blush: :love:
