Is a microfiber towel necessary??

Hi everyone, OK.....I have a quick question.......for those who use microfiber towels......is it real necessary and have you felt a difference from using a regular towel??? I was in Bed, Bath, and Beyond and they have a head only microfiber towel for 18.00 and a full bath microfiber towl for like 22.00, I wanted to get one, but the prices are a lil crazy for my pockets right now, so I was wondering do you ladies think it's a good idea to invest in this towel......I mean I don't mind spending the the money....but right now is not a good time.....suggestions....opinions????

I NEVER use a towel on my hair and if I do need something to dry my hair I use an oversized 100% cotton white tee.

No it is not necessary but I love it. It dries my hair faster, no lint, and don't mess with the curl pattern. No frizzing like one would get from regular towels.I think naturals who WNG would benefit from the towel more.

Ive been looking for a bigger microfiber towel; will go to Bed Bath &beyond to check it out.

I wouldn't say that it's "necessary," but I use one. They seem to do a better/quicker job at absorbing water than a regular towel, but I still use both.

If you want to try one out, check at your nearest Wal-mart, in the department that carries car-washing supplies. :look: I paid less than $7.

I found one for my hair at TJ Maxx for $6. It's called the Mimi's Diva Dryer Microfiber Turban. Haven't used it yet though...will this weekend!

I paid even less I got mine at the dollar store :look: It works pretty well. I originally bought it to dry my hair while in braids.

I have one of these - Found it at Big Lots. I DO not pay the BBB price.

I use t-shirts now - you can buy a set of Hanes for 6 bucks!!!

Its not necessary, but I love them, It dries your hair really fast. after a few minutes, my hair is not dripping wet anymore; I find it difficult to air dry without them

And like everyone said, you can always get a cheaper one than at BB &B

I have used both the microfiber hair turban and an over-sized T-shirt. I prefer the T-shirt.
The microfiber towel will dry your hair faster, but it's efficiency dramatically drops it's laundered with fabric softener. A couple times I forgot and I had to rinse them in plain water then throw them back in the dryer. That took too much time for me.

Yep! Dollar Tree sells them and Big Lots has Turbie Twists and another name brand for $2.50 or 3.50. The really dry the hair quickly but you might still have to use a certain technique to avoid frizz. That or I'm just a spazz.
