I did not buy anything new...my hit/miss list is from my existing product stockpile.

Hit
Chagrin Valley Olive & Babassu Shampoo Bar (continued hit)
Profectiv Clean 'n Healthy Shampoo (revisited) - I prefer "natural" shampoos such as Jason's Biotin or Chagrin Valley Shampoo bars but this Profectiv isn't bad. It's actually pretty darn good. It's not drying and left my hair super clean without feeling dry & tangled. It's super concentrated so a little goes a long way.
Bronner Brother's Super Grow Hair Grease After washing, got a nice soft, moisturized twist out. Yeah, it has the dreadful mineral oil and petrolatum...but it worked for me. It works as well as Qhemet's Amla Heavy Cream and Leanna's Hair Dressing. BB is easier for me to get my hands on (esp, since I'm currently overseas with the U.S. Military).

Miss
Curl Junkie Curl Assurance Aloe Fix Hair Gel - It's a nice gel but not heavy enough for my hair. It'll work beautifully on someone with a looser texture than mine.
Kinky-Curly Curling Custard (revisit) - Despite the rave reviews and yummy smell, this custard did nothing for me. Also, it will not mix with any non Kinky-Curly product.
Kinky-Curly Knot Today (revisit) The ingredients are fantastic but it's not moisturizing enough for my hair.

Giovanni Smooth as Silk Conditioner - I use this as a moisturizer and seal it with oil. Love it.

On the fence:

Grapeseed oil - I have to play around with it a bit more, but I do think it will be a hit.

Hit: Chi Keratin Mist

Misses: Keracare Humecto, Hydrating Detangling Poo, and 1st Lather Dried my hair right out! I'm sticking to Mizani. I tried to like this, I really did. I even thought it may be as good as Mizani...but it's just not consistent and my hair ended up feeling like straw. (And now i'm stuck with liters of the shampoo and a 5 lb tub of the conditioner to use up)

Mizani Thermasmooth Serum--I like using Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide along with the Thermasmooth Poo and Conditioner better. The Mizani serum left my hair feeling dry.

Cabellina chile con romero conditioner with natural pepper and rosemary extracts, chamomile and hops. This conditioner cost $5.49 for a liter. It is ultra thick and I mean the thickest conditioner I have used (I have to squeeze hard for it to come out the bottle) and I have used probably over 150 different conditioners over a range of price points. It leaves my hair very strong, but silky and detangled. This is going in my top five conditioners of all time. I bought two one liter bottles, but this stuff is so thick, it will last a very long time. It smells great (like you can baste it on some chicken and bake it) and provides a wonderful tingle.

I am working on finding out what works for me but so far:

HIT: Fantasia IC deep penetrating creme moisturizer (breakage has really lessened and my hair is really soft.)

Fantasia IC heat protecting serum

Jamaican black castor oil/coconut oil mix (leaves my hair feeling very moisturised and my new growth is alot easier to comb through.)

MISS: Elasta QP Thermal designing liquid (left my hair really crunchy) If anyone uses this, can you give some poniters?

I have some other stuff to try out, so far so good
