My question is slightly off topic BUT how do you find people who post hair pics on fotki. Do you have to know the specific person to look for or is there a way to search for hair pics only?

Just check people's signatures an/or profiles. The links are there. Then you can search other Fotkis by clicking people's comments inside of the Fotkis. That's what I do. I'll log in, check my comments/guestbook etc and surf around.

Most of us have ours locked, so you may have to be registered to see some pics.

Even though I only look at fotki's of ladies with hair BSL and beyond, it's because I'm almost BSL, planning to grow longer and looking at shorter hair doesn't do this head of mine any good. But when I was in TWA-SL phase you best believe I was all up in the fotki's of ladies with shorter hair .

OT: I'm glad to know that there are hair obsessed ladies like me who love anime too! I'm actually part of anime club at my college and my roommate is the vice president! I'm a nerd and I know it .

Yeah, I think soBut that's mostly because I want to leech away their knowledge so that I may get my few strands to grow a bit longer! I naturally gravitate toward those who have APL hair or longer, natural or relaxed. Once I learn to deal with my hair and figure out what works for it, then I will turn my attention to the shorter haired ladies. But if they ask me to come look at their albums, I always do and I give credit where credit is due .

Length is great, but health, shine and thickness is what gets me! Intricate styles where I have to ask "How did they get their hair like that?" I'm all over the place! TWA, Fros, Braids, straight, curly... I'm just a hair freak!

Both. Right now, since I am 4b around neck length, I seek out current 4b neck lengthers coz I feel that we have the same struggles. I got a lot of healthy styling advice from ladies with short hair that I wouldn't have gotten from ladies with long hair. Then I also stalk long haired 4bers who used to have short hair coz it inspires me on where to go. It lets me know that YES! It can be done!

If all I did was look at the long haired fotkis I would get very discouraged and give up. I liken it to being in a weight loss program if you want to lose weight. You need both the encouragement of pple who are also overweight so you can talk about your frustrations, as well as an inspiration from someone who used to be overweight and was able to get to their goal weight.

I think people are attracted to what their personal hair goals are. Someone that has acheived it. If you want to go natural and wonder what someone with a similar texture looks like with a TWA then you'll be checking those out. If you have short and wantto go long then that's where you'll be...I think it all depends

I especially love Neon Eveangelion/ Samurai Champloo/ and now the Boondocks. Nsruto is good too but those 15 secs staring contests are killer. Its good that they usually show two episodes at a time.

Ok this is my second post and I never answered the question lol Um....yes I only stalk ppl who are 4a,4b or combos 3c/4a OR ppl who are transitioning or have transitioned (3c included)....well I don't stalk fotkis at all because I hate fotki...so I'm not stalking for hair porn I normally stalk for tips so yeah I guess I'ma haircist because I only stalk ppl who are MBL and longer if they are relaxed- natural it doesn't matter as much as long as they have good tips!

I don't pay fotki any attention unless someone posts about it. I love all healthy hair. I'll even look at damaged hair to see progress. I don't really care about the type either unless I am looking for a specific style.

I have felt the hairisms here. I'll post something and get ignored like my hair has always been a twa .

I completely agree with this! Seeing progress lets me know that I have hope and I will definitely make my goals one day. It doesn't matter if the person is relaxed or natural I'll be stalking

I have been rehabilitated. I no longer STALK fotkis but I do like looking at long type 4 hair because that is what I'm aiming for. I also love looking at natural type 4 heads too because once I am convinced that my hair can grow to great lengths, I will then transition...to be continued.

I admit, I'm partial to long (BSL+) natural mixed-hair types like myself, such as LynnieB. I'd give my right arm and a foot to have hair that thick . It is really helps to see people how handle their multiple textures, especially when there is a strong distinction between the two such as 3b and 4a. I also love long 4bs too (relaxed and natural).....oh hell, I just love long hair
