Back of hair on right side is thin

The nape of my right side all the way up 2 inches is...thin at the roots. And it shows in the length of the right side.

And I kept wondering why was that side thinner at the ends.

Any recommendations as how to get it back growing ?

I think it came from years and years of tying my scarf back there. I don't anymore and its still not thick in that area, even at the root

The back of my hair on the left side is thin and more fragile than the rest of my nape (which is alread very fragile). The only way I get that area to grow out was to keep it protected in braids that I hid under my puff.
