Color Treated Naturals

I'm thinking my hair woes are definitely because my hair is color treated. I didn't see a thread started for us to talk about issues and/or share tips, suggestions, products etc.
My questions:

How are you putting moisture back in?

Is your hair porous now after the color?

Any great products for color treated hair?

I've been color treated for over 2 years.

Aloe vera has been excellent for my hair. I use aloe vera juice as a spray moisturizer and my leave-in is aloe vera gel based. Sealing is also a very important step to keep my hair super moisturized. I have crisco in my leave-in which seals it in for me, but before that I used grapeseed oil.

My hair is naturally porous.

Ultra Sheen Duo Tex Protein Conditioner. Protein is super important since I color a few times a year. It keeps breakage at bay and helps me retain moisture a lot better. I've also started using coconut milk and coconut oil as DC/PT combo. I stopped using shampoo and started using black soap on my hair. It keeps it more vibrant and less dry.

I wash my hair without poos and try to avoid silicones and mineral oil.

My hair always has conditioner as leave in it. Besides that I leave it alone, either have it under a wig or in a bun/updo style
I'm hair lazy and kinda regret coloring bc I want to texlax but can't lol

I DC my hair weekly. And i moisturize my hair daily or every other day. My hair isn't any dryer than it usually is.

My hair is low porosity so the color actual helps to open my cuticle a bit. I use a demi every 3 months and a semi every 6 weeks.

Looking for a great leave-in as we speak. If I find one I will let you know. I love AO Blue Chamomile as a deep conditioner.

Been dying my hair for YEARS and started a few months after my BC in 2011. I've been a red head ever since.

I DC every 2 weeks on wash day for 2+ hours. Usually Lustrasilk cholesterol, SE megasilk treatment, and a Curl Junkie DC mixture.

Very porus. Didn't realize it until recently

Any great products for color treated hair? I recently discovered John Frieda's Root Awakening products. Sulfate free and didn't strip my color at all. Cowashing with the condish left my hair SO soft! Also, Shea Moisture Yucca and Aloe thickening growth milk and EVOO daily for M&S....the business!
