I clean my tools religiously.
What's point of cleaning your hair if your utensils are stank?

I use castile soap on my brushes and combs once a week, and alcohol on my CHI iron whenever I use it.

What's your tool cleaning regimen?

I clean my brush and combs whenever I was or co-wash. I don't have any other tools.

I use shampoo that I wasted money on to clean my brushes and combs. It's a great way to recycle products that you don't use. And I use a cleaning product by Sedu for my flat iron.

i pour boiling water over my combs and brushes when i wash

Well when I use my flat iron/curling irons, I just wipe the buildup with a towel. As for combs and brushes, I just get the hair off of the comb, and then I comb the hair from the brush.

Yes, I clean my hair tools (once a week) with a mild detergent and warm water.

I only use 2 or 3 combs so I clean all of them with bleach and soap once a week, and my wide tooth comb every other day.
