Good Study Bible

Can anyone recommend a study bible for someone (like me) who is not as well versed in the bible as she would like to be? I'm looking for something with accurate translations that are easy to understand, as I so often get caught up and confused with the verbiage of the Bible. I really want to take in as much of it as I can in 2008- and I want to use a study bible and journal as a tool to do this.....

I like the bibles published by Zondervan. Both the NIV Study Bible and the KJV study bibles published my them are pretty good. They give a good introduction at the beginning of each book they also have good study notes and a good concordance.

I'm sure there are others out there but these are a few you may want to look at when you visit the book store.

I have the Life Application Study Bible (NIV) but it comes in the King James, New King James, Etc.....


I love the Life Application Study Bible Series!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The footnotes are very helpful as well. I bought mine years ago at walmart for about $24. Wal Mart always carries them.
