Good weaving hair?-Suggestions?

LAdies,

Do you know of any GOOD brand weaving hair that may be sold in the BSS??? I have heard of Beverly Johnson being good as that is what I have right now but looking for more suggestions...

I used Sensationnel Goddess remi for a weave (pics in my album: http://public.fotki.com/amalata/interlock_weave/) and it was hard to blend after the new growth kicked in. it is really good hair, though. It never tangled at all and I could wash it over and over again. My ponytail pics are after washing it.

I used Sensational Premium Now Silky and Yaki and they both tangled after washing. If I kept them moisterized with Leave in Creams they were slightly better, but would start tangling again as I go through the day.

i was told that hollywood was REALLY bad that it tangles something terrible!!! actually all of the ones made by the same people as hollywood i was warned to stay away from!!

Annakei,

I posted this in your other post.

Annakei, have you tried using the indian hair (www.indianhairs.com)? I've ordered from them twice and I always got good quality, tangle free hair. Perhaps someone on the board would place an order with you. I did something similar with CBJ and it worked out well for both of us.

This is the result of my 2nd to last weave I did with IndianHair.com hair. I haven't taken pics of my most recent one yet. I'll probably do that tonight.

I have used Hollywood hair, as well. Yes, it does tangle. They all do. It really is sad.

Im on the indianhairs website. How do you order the hair? Im a little confused..lol!! I just want hair that I can use for a sew in weave. I want it straight but NOT BONE STRIAGHT to where it wont match my own hair texture, something that looks like African American textured hair.

I always buy from the colored products because I prefer jet black and I tried dyeing once (did not go well).

I had some one PM me about indian hairs once and this was my response:

Hi,

I don't mind you asking at all. That is why we are all here. I am excited about the hair I buy. I have wasted so much money on beauty supply hair and it feels good to finally really find something that works for me and is easy on my wallet.

You have to remember that Indian hairs.com, #1 has bad website design, and #2 you can see there is a language barrier. From my experience with them, the Natural hair is the single drawn hair, meaning it was taken from cut one donor. As a result, the hair on the weft will not be all the same length, just natural flowing the way hair grows on a persons head. That's why it is safer to get longer than you really want. The batch I had even had bad ends, so I ended up clipping and inch or so off. Other than that the hair was beautiful and did not tangle or frizz at all. Technically all the hair on the sight is Remy, meaning that it is unprocessed, but the dyed hair is not really considered remy because it has been dyed. But still, most people dye it anyway to match their own hair color, I just don't know what I am doing with the dyeing stuff.

On their site, they have the Remy Double Drawn and the Natural so I can see how it can be confusing. The ones that say Remy Double Drawn, are processed to remove the short hairs and cut to length . I prefer this because the hair never has bad ends (which really is not a big deal) and braids need even lengths anyway. I just cut them when I am done. IMO, the single drawn flows more naturally though.

Here are a few links that may help explain remy hair: http://www.guptahair.com/prodt.htm and http://www.haircompounds.com/articles.htm

Also, it is hard to blend with if a lot of your hair will be left out. Some ladies have used Yaki BSS braids on top for blending. I have never tried that, though. I have 4z hair, if there is such a thing :) and I have trouble blending if I don't have a fresh relaxer or a technique that hides your hair.

Good luck. I have had so much trouble with buying hair.

1/2 lb for a full weave (although I try to use less because I don't like a lot of hair) and it always takes my order 1-2 weeks to arrive. They ship UPS.

So what is the difference between hand and machine weaving? The striaght hand weaving looks better than the machine weaving. The latter looks like it has ALOT of wispy ends..

Have any of you ever used the hair from indianhairs to do braids? If so, how much do you need to order for braids?

Is there any other hair thats cheaper and just as good as Indian hair. Thats just too expensive for me especially wth $40 just for shipping.

AMEN!!! Personally, the Beverly Johnson has been great while Ive had the fusions. Ive washed it quite a few times and it does NOT tangle or mat. Im going to get a sew in tomorrow and get some more before my appt.

It was going to cost me $180 to get hair that I have yet to see and feel....I wish they had local retailers...im asking for alot I know!

I have no clue on how to pick hair for sew ins but I been wanting to get one for awhile. It is easier to take care of straight hair that you can curl or the curly hair a la the Kelly Williams do?? I want to get that but I think I might need like two packs or so to get a full effect.
